Tirico said it best when he characterized these teams’ playoff chances as ‘lukewarm’ in response to the graphic listing about 7 teams, including the dead in the water Bengals, as ‘in hot pursuit’ of a playoff spot.

This is gross.

I like Tirico calling games a lot; it’s a shame he only does a few a year now.

On the other hand, I love Baker. He plays like a rookie for sure but one who has a lot of upside. That was a great series by him.

Agreed. And Warner isn't bad either - he hews towards minimalist color commentary which suits my tastes. The Pereira stuff is horrible though. MM is right - Pereira is a politician and not someone who is interpreting the calls.

A big penalty against Denver in Denver in a game that means something to Denver. Novel concept.

Denver taking themselves out of the picture might help SD a little. more likely that Denver will relish playing spoiler though.

As a fan of the potential of this offense, I do enjoy Gregg Williams doing everything in his power virtually ensuring his firing.

And a lot of people who mocked Cleveland’s 2018 draft are going to look stupid

regardless, the talent base finally seems to be in place. now they need to hire a real coaching staff, and it's a weakening AFC North.... could be fun really soon.

The officiating in this game is a good example of why I find the NFL increasingly hard to watch. Boxing and figure skating have better officiating.

Could easily have 1-2 more wins too.
Should've have beaten Oakland (bad call) and the Steelers (botched field goal)
Week 1: Tied Steelers 21-21, easily could have won
Week 2: Missed game tying 41 yard field goal at the end of regulation, lost 21-18
Week 4: Aforementioned Oakland game, 45-42 loss
Week 7: Lost 26-23 in OT at TB; had ball at TB 45 in OT after a pick but went 3 and out

Of course they shouldn't have won all of these. And on the flip side they had the 1 point win last night and the 12-9 OT win over the Ravens. So their record is basically deserved, maybe they should be 7-6-1 or 7-5-2 or whatever. But if things had broken correctly for them instead of 6-7-1 they really could be something like 9-5.
