Yeah. I don’t like Webb, and he ended up being benched last time he was on the team. The only thing he has going for him is he can tolerate playing with Bubba.

DeChambeau still played well despite the blowup, and the handshake thing was overblown IMO.
Yes, but watching the Americans get womped is fun and I like to see the world burn. Maybe he’ll bring a divining rod and use it on the greens or something.

Just jumping in to see if anyone has seen Phil's new commercial for Mizzen & Main shirts on Instagram?

I don't know how to embed a video from Instagram, but I have a feeling this is discussion worthy.

It's unbelievable. I need all the GIFs from it.

I hope that commercial is intended to be a joke. It's bad if it is, and flat out embarrassing if not. As for the shirt, it may be a good dress shirt, but it's not going to catch on as golf attire

I don't think Phil or the company expects or realistically intends anybody to wear it as a golf shirt. He agreed to wear it for some number of rounds in exchange for an equity stake in the company and some cash. And the company got what it intended -- an enormous amount of multimedia publicity.

Tiger is at -6, -2 for the day after bogeying the first. What's most amazing to me about the way he's been playing of late is how he's gotten back to his phenomenal short game. He had what could only be described as the yips in his chipping and bunker game a few years ago, and he looks to have completely overcome it.

He’s worn down. It’s understandable.

ESPN.com really needs to change its main page in light of today’s developments. It is embarrassing itself.

I just went to ESPN.com for the first time years. All I can is "LOL" to that home page. What a mess.

Steph Curry was 16 over par yesterday. Tough round, after a solid +1 on Thursday. When the wheels fall off an amateur, it's never pretty.

The 2010 Ryder Cup singles round is on Golf Channel right now. If anyone says Rickie can’t close or perform under pressure, they should watch this. What a performance down the stretch with the Ryder cup basically on the line.

Watching...finishes with 4 straight birdies to halve that match with absolute balls of steel. I’m nervous watching Mahan play this 17th hole...

As someone who attended the 2016 Ryder cup I laugh at this sparse crowd. The practice rounds I attended had more people than this.

Pavin placing Mahan as the anchor was an odd choice. I guess his plan was to put some early points up first and worry about a win later.

And this had a nice “post-Thanksgiving car wreck” win for Tiger.

Speaking of Fowler, he played Firestone and the PGA with a partially torn oblique. He’s WD’d from next week’s playoff event, but says he’ll be good to go at some point before the Ryder Cup.

59 (maybe 58) watch is on for Snedeker at the Wyndham. -9 through 15, just stuffed one inside 3 feet on 7. Par 70, needs one more birdie assuming he conveys the 3 footer.

Edit: coverage is on pga tour live

Wow he makes up for missing the short one by jarring a 20+ footer for the 59. That was awesome.

This is great. Steve Pate was a captain's pick and paired with Tiger...I never would have guessed that.

I remember watching the final day matches, and then that evening I saw the band Pavement live in Raleigh. Stephen Malkmus, their lead singer, came on stage totally wasted, and at one point during a break in the show he said, "Here's to the 12 biggest assholes in the world...the US Ryder Cup team." I may have been the only person at the show that laughed and cheered at that.

Also - the opening band was some dude on a guitar and a woman on the drums...their name wasn't on the ticket and I never learned it that night, but I remember saying to my girlfriend, "you know, they are actually really good." A few months later I learned about the White Stripes.

Great memories all around for me.

I will. Or at least in part with a group of a couple other guys; we saw this happening and already have it booked with the assumption it would be PPV. Depending on price I’d do it by myself if needed. I know they aren’t prime shape anymore and I wish his was happening ten years ago, but eff yeah.

They’ll get my money. I hope they go light on the production and announcers and just let us listen to a mic’d up Tiger, Joey and the Mickelson’s.
