I just turned the game on, have they been doing the mic thing every inning? I think it's pretty awesome, but most of you seem to hate it, and I can see how having it going on the whole game would be kind of annoying.

It is awesome for an exhibition game. The people who don't like it are kidding. Or wrong. Or a recently fired Cardinal manager.

That was fun to see Segura skipping around the diamond line a six year old. Highlight of his career, no doubt.

I think it's great too, although some of the guys they've picked haven't exactly been Mr Personality. Lindor was terrific.

Reviews are decidedly mixed, I find most player interviews boring because most players are boring. It really doesn’t bother me too much here since the game is meaningless so what the hell.

With his homer tonight, Trout now has a 6 game hitting streak in All Star games (all 6 that he's played in). He came into the game a 1.533 OPS, highest of all time if I'm not mistaken. He's now 7/15 with 2 doubles, a triple, 2 homers and 3 walks.

Considering how little offense there has been (the AL has like 30 runs in the previous 10 All Star games combined), and how few chances each guy gets in a game, Trout really does seem to take advantage of his one chance every year to shine on a big stage. I think if the guy actually played for a good team, and played in games that mattered for an entire season, his stats might be even better, which is a scary thought. Dude is fucking good.

Hunch must be juggling lots of requests to minimize usage so he decided that he would have his own guy pitch two.

So apparently Twitter has dug up some less than nice tweets from Josh Hader’s past.
