Then back to scoreless until Machado hits one out in the top of the 15th, 9-7 now.

Orioles ended up prevailing 10-7 in 15 innings. Atlanta really shouldn't have sent Freeman home with 0 outs, even as the walk-off run.

The Dodgers hit 7 HRs in what was the single best pitching park in baseball coming in to beat the Mets 8-7, all seven were solo and the seventh was by Turner in the 11th to win it.

Randall Grichuk hit a mammoth 471 ft HR in the 8th inning in Houston tonight, the longest at Minute Maid in Statcast history (start of 2015).

And then bottom 9, TOR up 6-3 and 2 runners on for HOU, he went way over the fence to rob Springer of the tying HR, that's a pretty solid two innings:

Washington didn't do much better today. After striking out Taylor, Romo starts barking at him. Then after the dugouts empty Romo becomes a tough guy standing behind his teammates.

Jesus, I like him very much...

Aguilar moves within one of the NL lead in home runs with his 18th this afternoon. He's hitting 304/364/628 at the moment and has ousted Eric Thames (and Ryan Braun) as Milwaukee's regular first baseman. I followed Aguilar coming up through the minors and saw him play a few times in AA, where he stood out like that kid in little league who's hit his growth spurt before everyone else. He always seemed to be laughing and having fun, too... just an easy guy to root for.

It was obvious he was never going to get a chance to play in Cleveland, Carlos Santana was in the lineup at first base every night, and then the signing of Edwin Encarnacion was the final nail in his coffin with the Indians. It was just bad timing that he could have been Santana's replacement this year, and Yonder Alonso's money could have been used for other needs. It also seems ironic that Aguilar went to an equally crowded situation in Milwaukee, but has outhit all the competition. I thought he could be a late bloomer who has 5-6 productive years as a DH/1B, but I didn't foresee him ever producing like he has in the first half this year.

Alex Bregman just capped an insane three game series against TOR with a walkoff two run HR to win 7-6. He raised his OPS from .820 to .887 in three days, 9-14 with 3 HRs and 5 doubles (!!!).

Rays pupu platter day has shut down Astros so far but Rays have squandered a ton of opportunities and trail 1-0 going into bottom 9. Looks like it will be a tough loss to break their 5 game streak.

Phillies pitcher gets a line drive off his throwing arm(possibly breaking it) then drops his glove and makes a play with his other arm.
Guy is known to be ambidextrous but damn.

7 of their last 8 after the win today, against NYY, Nats and Astros. Back to .500. Schedule gets very easy for July.....

Michael Lorenzen hit a pinch hit grand slam for the Reds tonight, which was especially noteworthy for two reasons: 1) he is a relief pitcher and 2) it was the third straight AB he homered, first pitcher to do that since Mike Hampton in 2003.

Vince Velasquez hit by a comeback to his right elbow (pitching arm) .
Ball ricochets towards 3b line. Velazquez throws off his glove, fields ball and throws the runner out at first....with his left arm.

Then collapses in pain and leaves the game.

the Mets are now 32-48, a .400 winning percentage. they started 11-1, meaning they've cratered to what would usually be a MLB-worst type of stretch in 21-47.

and yet, the Orioles are 23-59(!).
