I'd feel differently maybe if his weight or height had anything to do with the win. If anything, Rigo was bullying.
You know this on me. I didn't articulate my point well, I'm talking going forward. We've seen enough of this. It's not a skill test anymore, he needs to level the playing field physically for me.

Shit, outside of 1 fight, broner looked like a god at 135. When he started fighting guys his size, not much. Not comparing the two but the point is to compete. Enough of this bs against guys he can play with because there's no threat of real pop coming back.

Agreed. I'd like to see him against Crawford.

Ok now you're being an ass. I think Loma caps out at 140 but later in his career. For now, he needs a solid run at 135
What're you talking about? I said upthread I'd like to see him against Crawford. I think he has that kind of talent, and I also don't think weight matters as much as others seem to make it.

You don't think Crawford, who is really a Welterweight, is too big for him? That'd be asking a lot. But shit, I'd watch.

One last thing for the year in Boxing, Lemieux has to get that strap off Billy Jo on Saturday

No, I think Loma is that good.

That'd be fun. But I can't see top rank pitting their future flag holders against each other.
Ah yes, there's always that.

135 is a good division. Linares just called out Loma, though, frankly I thought Linares lost his last fight. Obviously, Garcia is there, too, but I thought I heard he's moving up in weight.

Yeah garcia was trying to fight cotto so I think 135 is too small for him at this point.

Linares would be a fun fight. I had him edging out that last fight. 135 is a solid division but the two Loma problems are clear. He's with top rank and they are going to keep him exclusively on ESPN.

Linares would have to focus. I had him giving away too many of the middle rounds the last fight to come away with the victory, but it seemed like when he wanted to take control, he was able to. He couldn't take the foot off the gas against Loma, obviously, but has the range and power to make it interesting.

Run run run run. If I never see Blow Job Saunders fight again, it'll still be too soon.

Are you kidding? That was masterful. Lemieux is one of the hardest punchers in boxing and he clowned him.

I know I know. But I fn hate BJS.

GGG should send him a Xmas gift. He all but sealed Canelo GGG 2 in May. No way Oscar puts Canelo in their with all that movement.

I think I’ve seen Linnares before, not sure. I like his balance
He had a good fight a few months back against Campbell.

Very talented fighter. Good mix of size and length and speed and power and balance. Takes rounds off and doesn’t always show up and cuts easily, but skilled enough to be in that Crawford-Ward-Spencer range just behind Loma.

His corner seems to have the same opinion of him as you do. I always worry about guys you gotta motivate in the corner when they’re winning. First time I saw that was Moorer/Foreman

Is Linnares feather fisted or is Gesta’s chin that good? Gesta looks like he is getting cracked but seems fine.

Linnares is absolutely cracking this kid and Gesta looks like he’s ready to walk from the ring to the shower to the club.

I’m mostly talking to myself but I enjoyed that fight. Harold also commenting on Gesta’s chin, an iron chin really.

Yeah, Linares doesn’t have the power it looks like he should.

Mathysse, on the other hand...

And this Thai dude better not have his head so far over is feet when he boxes as when he hits pads.

One of the weirder knockouts I've seen recently. It looked like Mathysse barely touched him.

Linars has his flaws but I could watch him box all day.

It was a good scrap.

But watching Thurman, Porter, and Danny boy all play wwf to fight each other when a world champion is sitting in Dallas begging for a fight was really sad. To quote Spence, these dudes so lame.

Yeah definitely not. Had it 116-112, but that was maybe biased by my bet on Sor, who was like +140 for some reason.

$$$
I had it 115-113 but could easily see 116-112. Round 12 is going be on a light of round of year lists

Also, do you have a personal bookie or are you betting online? What site had him +140?

It’s a personal bookie, but they have a site. Just checked again; I had him at +133, but I think the line dropped a bit as I was placing the bet right before the introductions. I was just flat shocked he was an underdog.

That was incredible

How Wilder didn't go down in the 7th is beyond me. What a fn chin and then to gather himself and win by KO. Reminded me of Cotto'l digging deep against Torres (I think it was him).

Canelo got popped for clenbuterol. I know Marciano is the resident know everything guy here so I'll ask him. Is the contaminated meat excuse legit or is it complete bullshit? Because I'm leaning towards bullshit

Clen’s an asthma medicine I believe that was repurposed by bodybuilders for cutting. No clue if it’d be in meat, but I can’t imagine it’s great for training. I remember sparring on ephedra and feeling like I was gonna die. Thought clen was just as speedy.

But, whatever, I assume they’re all on stuff.

Cutting weight this far out from May 5th? Little too earlier, no?

Way too early for cutting but not too early for losing weight if he blew up.

I think cutting in bodybuilding is not quite the same meaning as in wrestling/boxing.

Ugh. Getting popped for this going into a fight with a 36 year old is not a good look

My first thought was how much more annoying Lampley and Kellerman are going to be now. They already went on and on last weekend about the “controversial, disputed” decision.

Yeah. It was also a good, solid fight and a legit draw also, but didn’t hear anything about Canelo.
Well that's because of Byrd's card. If she turned in something not mimicking stevie wonder driving a car, then the draw gets looked at differently

Right, because Canelo and GGG more or less fought to a draw. That should be the emphasis.

Finally watching Wilder-Ortiz. That nonsense 20 second break at the start of the 8th may have saved Wilder.
