Maybe because I’m a Pats homer, but I find the new, freer TD celebrations lame.
I agree that I like the mental discipline that Belichick enforces, and a lack of TD celebrations are part-and-parcel of that. I wouldn't trade the former to get the latter.

That said, TD celebrations by the rest of the league are awesome. Touchdowns happen like 3x/game, they're rare. You're about to have 10 minutes of mostly-commercials before the next play from scrimmage. You're still not allowed to taunt the opponents, but now you can do something for a few seconds that can be hilarious - in a sport that has systematically tried to squash all individuality and humor out of its entertainment product. It seems all to-the-good, to me.

Love the fumble on the pointless third and long draw play with 16 seconds left at their own 25 or so. Detroit deserved that for not fucking kneeling.

The cheerleaders were in the background for the Lions celeb. Just show me more cheerleaders.

That was a great pass by Stafford.

Great catch too.

Slay has a good shot of leading the league in INT’s as long as he stays in Detroit. Chicago (Trubisky) on their schedule 2x/year.

Was that legal by the Chief, to shove the Colt from behind into the ball?

Why is he talking about the bobble in his hands AFTER the possible touching on ground? What does that matter?

If it's incomplete, it has NOTHING to do with that.

If he had control before it touched the ground and the ground didn't aid the catch and he maintained control it's a catch. I think. But he didn't do part three. I think.

Idiots

Easy call
Eh, it touching the ground doesn't much matter if he had control. But the bobble later means absolutely nothing. If the ref was to say it was in control when it touched the ground, then the later bobble means nothing anyway because it never touched the ground again.

Yeah, but if the call was that he maintained control through the touching of the ground part he can bobble it later.

I really think the Chargers are the better team, but they're throwing up over themselves this game.
