Audio Problem with Amazon Prime Video, using Android/Chromecast

Whenever I pause a video, it comes back without sound, and nothing I have tried so far has fixed it except turning off the TV and turning off the Android phone. I have Googled this, of course, and none of the answers seems to be a match. Some of them are impossible: for example, they suggest going to my Amazon Prime Video settings and doing things that don't appear there.

The problem is the same whether I use the Amazon app or the Chrome browser. Does anyone have this problem, and the cure? TIA!

Can you give more info on your setup? Is it hooked directly to the TV or do you have a receiver in between? Have you tried it with a different TV or receiver? Do you have the same issue with a different phone?

I have a FireTV where the video goes out for a couple of seconds after a few minutes of streaming when the device has been asleep. It only shows up when connected to my receiver and does not happen when directly to a TV. Still working with Amazon on this.

The chromecast is plugged into one of the hdmi inputs on the back of the tv. I set up my Moto phone to cast whatever is on the phone display to the tv. (I can't try it with a different phone, b/c the others are too primitive. The audio loss might not happen with my laptop, but I need to use the phone b/c I am rehabbing from surgery and want to use it from the bed.) Last night I switched hdmi inputs (one of the main suggestions I found on Google), and it didn't lose audio as rapidly, but after the second or third pause it happened again. But this time when I turned everything off briefly, it at least came back to the right spot, instead of beginning at the beginning of the movie all over again. Unfortunately, I'm not able to run up and down stairs to try it on another TV. Most folks seem to think these problems stem from the refusal of either Amazon or Google (or both) to cooperate re using chromecast with Amazon video. But others have lost audio when pausing Netflix, which comes with its own handy-dandy chromecast icon, so I'm not sure what is the cause of the problem.
