In today's NFL, a 48 yarder is almost automatic. You want to give your team to be able to get the ball back.
I agree he makes the kick much more often than he misses. I didn't like Bowles slowing the game down and giving Miami plenty of time to execute what they need to. There was a miniscule chance the terrible Jets offense is going to score at that point in the game in 20 seconds. I think the better play was keep the clock running and see if the Dolphins mismanage something on their end with the clock.

Of course, throwing an out route with a weak armed QB with 45 seconds to go from your own 15 was even worse. Run a draw or a screen, see what happens. If nothing happens, take it to OT. There's a reason your QB is a 38 year old journeyman.

I only watched the very end of the game but the field looked like it was in real poor shape. I think I would have taken my chances on Miami missing from that distance rather than give them a chance to get closer.

Marvin Lewis with a stupid challenge. If he wins, it's 3rd and 10. If he doesn't, it stays 3rd and 19 and loses a TO. Not worth burning it.

Yes, but a terrible call on the field. Went a full yard forward.

Not sure it’s bad for Cincy. Third and nine is doable.

Agreed, but the likelihood of conversion is low. Is it even worth burning a challenge on? And if you lose the next challenge, they are no more.
I dunno, tough decision. They’re already down 7 and Pitt can score, so I can see an argument either way.

If you put 8 men on the box to stop Bell and the other three triple cover Brown, I’m not sure they could move the ball.

JuJu Smith-Schuster just got open by about 20 yards and then him and Bell combined for an amazing hide-and-seek TD celebration.

Seattle with 12 red zone plays and they get nothing. Somebody check on Danno.
