I think all the pearl clutching in this thread about Judge, the Yankees, their special players, and the announcers is sad. Judge's catch was incredible, so they kept showing it. They showed Springer's catch last night just as many times.
Yeah, but they didn't then transition into what a wonderful young man Springer is.

I think it is the greatest tragedy - ever.

Sabathia is pitching about as well as you can expect for a game seven. He is as clutch a pitcher as there is in the MLB today.

If Springer hit 52 homers as a rookie, I'm sure they would have been ball washing him. It's not like Judge didn't have one of the best rookie seasons in the history of baseball. I am just surprised people are shocked they are playing up Judge.

Will the defendant please rise?

Not going to get too many chances like this and to not capitalize is gonna send you on vacation quickly.

I don't think anyone is shocked.

I hate to say it, but missing chances like those will likely be followed by the Yanks scoring first, which is all it will take for the Astros to start swinging at everything. Hope I'm wrong.

My gut says that if the Astros score first they'll have a 60% chance of winning. If the Yankees score first they'll have a 95% chance of winning.
