Brown has actually had a few nice throws...makes me more optimistic for the next few seasons at least.

Don’t know why they insist on running every first down though.

Every 10 year old kid playing Madden knows you can't punt on 4th and 7 down 14 with 5 minutes left.... so Daz punted

Yeah, I hate Daz like I hate the Yankees and I was rooting like hell for us today.

Give the kids on defense credit. Their coach turtled all over the field (at least 4 punts in Clemson territory, runrunpasspunt offense all day) and they fought until they couldn't.

Let the excuse train begin for the loser. He had Meterparel really shilling on the radio feed.

Good thing they punted at 21-7 so they could keep the final score close, that worked out great

This would be an optimistic day if it were year 2. But it's year 5 and this program is still 3 years away. Daz is not worth $2.5M per year. Notwithstanding that who knows what their record will be. But I don't see more than 5 wins this year. 4 games in and I think we know the team. Poor O that can't put more than 17-20 points on the board. Good special teams and a decent D that can play with anyone for a half but gets worn down.

No depth. They can beat FCS and low level
FBS teams but can't beat P5 opponents. This program is going nowhere with Daz running the show. They will let him play out the string but he needs to be bought out. A good coach will take this team and get 8 wins with it. It won't happen with Daz. Bottom line, BC paid this guy $20M to uptick the program just hair better than Spaz. Bad ROI no matter how you measure it.

Daz does all he can to keep it close and still loses by 27. The players competed once again but the reality is very few of them actually belong at this level.

They punted 5 times inside the other guy's 50 yard line (36, 39, 44, 46,49) ? None of them were worth taking a chance on? Geez. No wonder your defense wore out.

The goal of our shit-for-brains head coach is to keep the score as close as possible for as long as possible so that he can claim a moral victory. He doesn't actually try to win the games because that would require a pair of balls that he doesn't possess.

When I was at the Gridiron Club meeting last week at BC it sounded like Jarmond was not going to stand for mediocre or "moral victories". He repeatedly said the program would be competive and would "win". He talked of scheduling national opponents that BC could play with and beat. Trust me the people in that crowd were truly drinking the Kool-Aid.

Well, now we are 4 games in to year 5 of the Daz Experiment. Most fans would hang in there despite the losses if the coach, especially in a game that you are supposed to get crushed in, threw caution to the wind and let it all hang out....go for it on 4th down inside the opponent's 50 yard line rather than punt; go for the end zone at the end of the half when you have 2 timeouts and are at mid field with 30 seconds to play, down 4 and the opponent gets the ball to start the second half.

But none of that has happened in 5 years. So he violates the basic tenet of playing any sport, you go all out and take chances. If you play not to lose you will always lose. 2-16 in conference play since 2015 and an overall conference record of 10-24 since he took over. No win against an FBS opponent when trailing at halftime. Unable to score more than 21 points against P5 opponents since 2014. Getting blown out by 20+ points against first division FBS opponents consistently over the last 2 seasons.

Recruiting is at the bottom of the conference as well as nationally as only 2 P5 programs grade out worse. And yet the guy cashes $20M in paychecks, Gives the same tired excuses game after game and no one, including the media that covers the team seems to call him out on his BS coaching decisions (bloggers on this and other sites excepted). I have to give the "dude" credit as he has set his family up for many generations. Once he leaves BC he will get a job as a line coach somewhere and laugh all the way to the bank.

Jarmond has his work cut out for him. The program is a tad better than it was at the end of 2012 and the future looks better with the IPF and an energetic AD. But the football program is at least 3 years away from being relevant. This all goes back to Jags and his failure to do any recruiting and his desire to get out of town almost as soon as he got here. 2 bad coaching hires later and the program has been in the wilderness for 10 years and looks to be there for another few before it gets real competitive again. Such is the state of BC football, late September, 2017.

BC v. VA Tech will be "under the lights," 7:15, on ESPN2 (October 7th). So that's a minimum of 5 nationally televised games for a team that ain't that great (including 2 FN games). Pretty impressive. ESPN/ACC sure love the Boston market.

With the travel day for the ALDS, timing isn't bad.

Bernie is dead on again.. as usual, I made the descision to play golf at 2;30 Saturday rather then see us get rocketshipped by Clemson and almost fell on the floor when I walked into the clubhouse and it was 7-0 late in the 2nd.. so I got the see Coach Takeaknee's mental act

i'm fucking sick of saying it, but he never coaches to Win but Not to Lose, so I caught the end of the weekly press conference on Persicope and also watched the first part of the radio show last night and here is the new message, yup the Y word

'WE ARE YOUNG UP THE MIDDLE' a frosh center, a RSFrosh QB, a frosh RB thats it
what an asshat.. once again I feel for the kids, espically the D who played their hearts out on Sat to keep it close, only to be let down the coach punting from the +36

I know it's a different sport. But speaking of young up the middle and a Bernie being involved

My favorite part of the quote is that Daz has now apparently designated Dillon as the starter at RB JUST so he can complain about having a Freshman at all 3 positions.

The Post game presser. Forget it is after today's game. Is it me or does this sound like a presser you would hear after a game in year 1 or 2 of a rebuild? Nothing changes. Notning.

https://www.pscp.tv/w/bJ7GIDF6dkVOV3pZUkxPUWV8MU1ZeE5YZ1ZMYm5Hd9JTkPohm3emBSlKO0N307N55Tf69zOPKDHQCNU9mA37
Yes that is Daz, he is basically trying to sell that he is in year 2 of a rebuild when in fact this is year 5 and he is responsible for all parts of the mess.

In one way we are young. Then he wants to sell that next year we are going to be full of 4th and 5th year Seniors, so next year will be awesome

The thing is, he has had 7 years as a head coach between BC and Temple, and he has never shown any ability to beat a good football team. His teams have One in that time, and face it that game was against a USC team that was a mess with a HC who was in the middle of a breakdown.

17-3 at the half. They have never come back from a halftime deficit against a P5 opponent with Daz as coach.

Team cannot score more than 20 pts. Game is Over now.

Nice to see BC open the game up in garbage time after turtling for most of the second half.

In the funny how things end up. Two years ago BC signs Anthony Brown, despite a late offer from VT. Poor VT had to settle for Josh Jackson 2 weeks later.

Who knows, Brown flashes some skills, maybe in 3 years with a new coaching staff he will be the better player

Daz had an awesome temper tantrum in the postgame. I'll try to find a link but it is so worth finding just to watch the gym teacher melt down.

as I said over on twitta, denial ain't just a river in egypt... someone said the 'fire addazio' chants were coming from the student section in the first half. They couldn't have come in the second because IT WAS FUCKING EMPTY, WTF???? ON NATIONAL FUCKING TV. well the Duece

this is what you, Spaz and GDF have done to this program Addazio, its a fucking joke. the funny thing is there was a lot of life in the lots before the game, but i bet most of the people never went in. lot between Plex and theatre was packed lots of shitfaced students

this is now going to have to be a total ground floor up rebuild, the IPF will be a huge shot in the arm but we can't do anything with this clown at the helm, and it has to be a name to generate any excitement until the team starts winning, as one of the many VT fans up in QQ said last night, 'this is like watching 2 bad high school teams' Chip Kelly is the only one out there who could put a few asses in the seats before winning

Students need to primp and drink. 7PM starts here don't work. This isn't SEC country. And given the product, they have their priorities straight.

If we're good they show up no matter the time of game. It's pretty simple.

Also nice to see a Heights reporter is the only reporter in Boston with enough balls to call Daz out for sucking.

Brown could be really good in a couple years when he has a real coach who actually lets them open up the offense for a full game

Why is Wade playing? I missed the first half with more important things like getting pizza and replacing a car battery so just tuning in.

Brown hurt his shoulder again. But this is weird. They actually came out in the second half, adjusted and punched this puke asshole of a program in the mouth and the bully blinked. Nice to see them have some life.
