Bergeron and Marchand are connected at the brain.

Postma looks like Matt Irwin 2.0 right now.

I'm sold on 63/37/10
Bjork looks a little tentative and is taking way too long to get his shot off. The talent is apparent though - once he relaxes out there he’ll fit in perfectly on that line.

Well he's a playmaker. They are passers. I know it's hate on Spooner time, and I'm not a huge fan, but Spooner was great there. He put it on Senyshyn's stick for the winner, puck just rolled a bit. He also made a nice chip pass (as did Carlo) to spring Agostino.

@ Detroit tonight. Believe the game is on NHL Network. First game in the Red Wings new barn.

Haven't seen a lineup yet, but Pasta, Krejci, DeBrusk are traveling. Heinen and Senyshyn also listed, getting an extra look.

IIRC, McAvoy was given a lot of defensive zone starts, which could account for some of the disparity. Definetely a trend to watch through and not a good one if it continues.

Edit: Ignore this. I completely misread the stat.

I was gonna say, I was confused there for a second and thought I was reading it wrong. 76% CF seems pretty much otherwordly to me from a 19 year old defenseman.

Also, I once again didn't get to watch last night, but everything I'm reading makes it sound like the Bergy - Brad - Bjork line is going to be a force of nature. I'm giddy with excitement.

LOL, WUT?

No, no. Those are tremendous. More impressive if indeed was buried with d zone starts.
Dude is a stud, and currently the Vegas favorite for the Calder. Impressive showing.

I have to admit, Spooner looked really good last night. He was physically engaged and generated a lot of offense. His chemistry with Pastrnak was readily apparent.

Bjork definitely cemented his role in the top 6. I still don't think DeBrusk starts with the NHL squad, but I think Bjork separated himself from the rest of the kids. Of particular interest will be the 3rd line though. I liked the way Backes-Kuraly-Schaller played together, but don't see them as a 3rd line given the other talent on the roster.

Also nice to see Subban play really solid. Impressive game from him and something to build on. Have to think he's ahead of McIntyre given their preseason play so far.

Interesting stat on DeBrusk:

8 of DeBrusk's 9 shot attempts have been from the high danger area. No other Bruin has more than 3 this preseason.
I don't think he has a ton of upside, but he seems like he's at least a solid complimentary player right now. Him and Bjork playing on the top 2 lines could really give them a competent bottom 6 this year

Looks to be close to a dress rehearsal game tonight. No local TV.

Marchand - Bergeron - Bjork
DeBrusk - Krejci - Pastrnak
Vatrano - JFK - Backes
Agostino - Kuraly - Heinen

Grzelyck - Carlo
Miller - McAvoy
O'Gara/Postma - McQuaid

Rask
Subban

Taking a stab at the D, not sure who is in or out.

Between here and everywhere.
I mean, seriously. Every single one of them has tons of offensive potential (with the exception of Backes). They lack a bit of sandpaper/grit - but the D has a bit of a mean streak, especially if Zboril joins the team and McAvoy continues to mature/develop.

Yeah, I can't ever remember them being this deep. They're going to cut some players that are NHL ready over the next few days. Good position to be in.

doesn't count because of the hand pass, but good job from Bjork to be able to take advantage of a rebound.
