Ben Gamel and James Pazos, two recent NY roster casualties, are both playing great for Seattle. Pazos has a 2.40 ERA and 20 Ks in 15 innings, and Gamel has been an on base machine this month, on base 18 times in 8 games (34 PAs), still minimal power but a 1.208 OPS this month nevertheless.

Tyler Clippard has pitched twice for the White Sox, both times he's been on the mound for a walkoff loss.

After tormenting the Yankees over the weekend, Ben Gamel put on a base running clinic Monday night during Seattle's 4-0 win over Boston. Gamel lined a grounder down the first base line and turned it into three bases with a burst of speed. Then he scored on a grounder to first base, breaking on contact and sliding under the tag as Hanley Ramirez threw high to Christian Vasquez. Bang-bang play.
Gamel now hitting .323, riding an 11-game hitting streak. He spent six years in the Yankee farm system, became expendable after Clint Frazier's arrival last August in Scranton. Yanks are not regretting the move but you could argue that Ellsbury blocked Hamel from reaching the big leagues last year.

Rob Refsnyder had a game to forget on Friday, going 0-for-4 with 4 Ks while making 2 errors that led to all 4 of Pittsburgh's runs in 4-2 Blue Jays loss.

Tyler Clippard gets a ring, there really is no justice.
