A hockey official skating in swiftly to signal that the puck hasn't gone in while the crowd screams, bodies fly, and Doc goes nuts is secretly one of the greatest things in sports.

God yes. What a sport. I don't know how I ever survived the Cup run, or even just the Montreal series.
Shit, I still go into cardiac arrest watching highlights of that season, let alone full games. Sometimes I'm glad it's two teams that I hate that are going through this.

Agreed....Even Doc alone is enough to make the game exciting. I can think of very few announcers that bring so much energy and enthusiasm to the broadcast booth. He really adds to the whole experience.

That Habs series in 2011 almost killed me.

Speaking of, Chris Kelly has 2:27 TOI tonight through 4 periods. Well rested!

3 of the 4 major sports are dominated by like 5 teams.
I mean besides the NBA probably 25% of each league has a legit chance of winning the Championship each year.

Hell Ott may have been the worst team in the playoffs this year and they were a lucky bounce away from going to the finals against Nashville (a team that has never made the finals.

I was (somewhat irrationally) rooting against Ottawa due to their inability to sell out an elimination ECF game. I mean really? Truly an expansion team

From 1984 to 2010, only 7 teams (Boston, LA, Chicago, Houston, San Antonio, Detroit, Miami) won titles in the NBA
