I actually stopped drinking at half time. I just didn't feel like having another one when they were so down.

When the comeback started I couldn't get up to get another one anyway. There was no way I was leaving that seat.

My 9 year old asked to play my phone at 28-3. With 4 minutes left, she declared she was tired and ready for bed. That's when my 11 year old (who hadn't sat down for 15 minutes) whips around and he says "pick up that phone and don't move from that spot". The rest is victory.
Edit - He also switched out the Edelman jersey for the Brady one he got at the AFCCG trying to change up the mojo. Kid's only 11, only 90 more years to have sports do this to him...

I was responsible for the first half deficit by not going to the same bar where I had watched the previous two playoff games, opting to go to a Super Bowl party instead.

I made up for this by saying at halftime, "I don't care, we're winning this f#$King game", but then leaving the party after the last Falcons touchdown and heading home to watch it on my computer. Caught the last couple plays of their missed XP drive, watched the rest, all my shithead friends who were rooting for the Falcons just to spite me at the party were texting me. I responded at the end, "what, what happened with the game?"

Sparky is undefeated in the SB while wearing a Pats hat. Plus, he beat cancer this winter. Solid campaign.

Slaughtered my children in their beds shortly after halftime and replaced them with Tony Franklin effigies. "Sleeping Tony" to the rescue again!

I named my new puppy Brady that we brought home a week before the Super Bowl.

I changed one of my passwords to Patriots51 during the week before the game.

I smoked my victory Cuban cigar on the ramp at NRG Stadium at halftime as a means of getting them going. Per my custom this past season, I had already smoked one before the game.

All of these stories are spectacular in their own right, but the true decisive action took place in a modest ranch in central Massachusetts. At 28-3, mom reminded me that she had been wearing her Pats socks when the team dismantled Pittsburgh in AFC championship game. I got them for her, she put them on, and only the celebrations remained.

We gritted it out through halftime, but after the Falcons went up 28-3, my buddy left to go home (where we usually watch the games) to try to mix things up a bit. My son went to his room to try to do the same. I stayed right where I was, on the recliner. Only difference for me is that I picked up the laptop and I posted in the game thread several times through the end of the game. I haven’t posted in Pats game threads much at all during Pats games. I don’t think that was the key to the victory, but I think it helped.

Changed sweatshirts (from my Red Sox 2007 World Champs to a generic gray hoodie, very Belichick-ian) late in the 2nd quarter. When it was clear that wasn't working, I pulled off the hoodie and went with my ancient Patriots t-shirt (2003? 2004?). To her credit, my wife was far more optimistic for a comeback, while I had it to 1 in 200 odds after the failed onside kick. Never been so happy to be wrong.

This is more of an all season thing, but a coworker here in ATL sold me an old Bledsoe jersey for 10 bucks. It's the one-year-lived (someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it wasn't much longer if so) design at the beginning of the Flying Elvis era:

I bought it from him in the week after the Seattle game and had it on for every game after. It's 10-0 and I'm considering framing it, with a "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" caveat. There's some dark magic in that jersey.

I went upstairs and watched the rest of the game alone after Atlanta made it 28-3. Besides the fact that I didn't want to subject my wife to any more swearing and whining, I had a fairly early conference call at work with colleagues in Europe. Once the strip sack happened, I didn't move from my position until the PI on Bennett in overtime at which point I watched the rest standing up because of excitement. She came running upstairs once I was jumping up and down on the White TD. The only thing that was bad was I couldn't make any noise since the kids were in the other rooms sleeping. Looking back, I'm actually impressed with myself that I stayed in control enough to not wake up the kids.

That design was for the 1993 and 1994 seasons. The Pats had silver face masks and Bledsoe had two horizontal bars, not three, his rookie year. They switched to the red face mask in 1994. That jersey also has a 75th anniversary patch, which was the 1994 season. They switched to an italicized font in 1995 with an odd, slightly different colored blue pinstripes. http://www.patriots.com/news/evolution-patriots-logo-and-uniform

And if you need a sign of the the divinity of that jersey, look at the image you decided to use. That game was a catalyst to the 6 game win streak that brought the Pats to their first playoff game since 1988. The Pats were getting blown out in the second quarter, 20-0 before rallying for the win in OT. I remember yelling at the TV and literally banging my head into the wall they were playing so bad. I remember thinking, "Same damn Pats, doesn't matter if they have the young stud QB and great coach, they're still the fucking Pats." Then they rallied with a field goal at the half and then stormed back to win it with a TD to Kevin Turner (RIP) in OT. Bledsoe set an NFL record for passes attempted and completed in a game. It was the biggest flip of playing like crap to playing like gold I had ever seen until the Super Bowl. It was when the Patriots went from being a joke to a real football team. Times have changed.

I changed my shirt at halftime. Others have indicated doing the same, so I can't take all the credit. I was just doing my job.

Had family business to attend to anyway (and the Sox are far ahead of any other sports team in my heart), so stopped paying any real attention when it was 21-0. Started following on phone again when the kids were in bed at 28-12. When it was 28-20, I decided to turn it back on. I'm a jinx atheist, but I do admit to hesitating (since they'd done all their scoring when I wasn't watching) for a moment before muttering "Fuck it" and hitting the remote button. So glad I did. The game-tying drive had my heart pounding harder than any sports event since the 2013 World Series.

I had been sitting to the right side of a female friend. After Gaga, I found myself on the left side of her (female friend, not Gaga). Once the comeback started, I made sure that she was put in her place. Seating wise.

That and my brother send his son to bed at halfttine, as there was no reason to watch anyone . At 28-20 he said "I am going to owe him so much if the Pats come back to win... and it will be worth it" My nephew needed to be shown multiple clips from ESPN, NFL, etc to believe it

At 28-9, my 17 year-old pleaded with his mother and me to join him in some ritualistic chant that involved holding hands. We've been divorced for about 10 years and only touch each other by accident so we told him that wasn't gonna happen...but I DID watch both 49 and 51 with the ex so there's that. Anyway I told the kid "Okay...15 minutes and 19 points to tie it, if anybody can do it, it's Tom Brady". Divorce mojo. You're welcome.

I turned off the TV and went into the computer room while monitoring the game on the phone. I hesitated to turn the game on until it was tied.

I used the exact same strategy for game 2 of the 2013 ALCS.

You're all welcome.
