Sheer insanity at the New Igloo. Pens are up 7-6 with 10 minutes left. Nine goals in the second period alone, six of which were scored by the Pens.
That sure did look like a trip by Crosby on Ovie. Maybe the ref felt he went down trying to avoid it.

In the Nashville-Vancouver game tonight the ref is in perfect position on the net to see a puck stay alive and then go into the net, and he signals several times that the puck is in the net.
However, they then have a review where it's determined that he meant to blow his whistle instead. That makes no sense.

At least he is getting work against people who can put the puck on net, as opposed to what he likely deals with at practice during 3 on 3 drills.
I saw about half of the 3 on 3 stuff (issues at home stopped me from seeing the rest) and had a blast watching it. I'd like to see if they could alter this and/or the real OT 3 on 3 by maybe having one guy not allowed to pass the defensive blue line, setting up automatic 3 on 2s . . . but with a guy all set to cherry pick a breakout pass and go in alone.
