This is definitely a tougher test with Eichel back, but it's imperative to keep piling up the points, especially within the division.

right here
I really like Schaller on Krejci's wing.
Like, I don't know why it works. It probably shouldn't. But it seems like it does.

McQuaid is entering Hayes pointless streak territory. Not quite as long, but considering his minutes and his possession numbers, there's an argument to be made that it's worse than Hayes'.

What in the fuck is that even a penalty for? Forechecking?

edit: on replay he definitely took the hand off the stick, god dammit

Now, how is what McCabe was just doing to Schaller not a hold? Hand off the stick, on the jersey, same spot on the ice

Great PK. Tilt the ice for the next three minutes and get the hell out of this dump.

Jack Eichel is fun to watch, Evander Kane is a piece of shit. it all evens out to "fuck you Buffalo".

Great game, way to weather the storm. Colin Miller was outstanding today.

Excellent defensive hockey, outstanding goaltending, and goals by Krejci and Bergeron. We'll done.

Assuming no Chara yet, and with Beleskey likely out for a bit, guessing the lineup for Monday night looks like:

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Schaller - Krejci - Backes
Blidh - Moore - Nash
Spooner - Czarnik - Hayes

Krug - Carlo
K. Miller - McQuaid
Morrow - C. Miller

:fonz:

Who had this roster 3rd in the division, ahead of Tampa (and 5 points behind the Habs) a month ago? I sure didn't...

The goals against and possession are most amazing to me. Went from an awful defensive team, and below average possession team to one of the best. Rask has helped with the goals against, but the defense is really night and day from what it was last season. The only personnel change is Carlo for Seidenberg.

Maybe it's coming from the significant changes in the forward corps. Ericsson for Backes may be a wash defensively, but the team shed four forwards who had at least 35 GP: Kemppainen, Rinaldo, Talbot and Connolly. They added Nash, Moore, Schaller and Czarnik -- who are all listed on the roster as centers.
