If Seattle beats the Jets (very possible) and NE beats Buffalo (which should happen), then the AFC East standings would look like this after four weeks of the Patriots not having Tom Brady:

NWE 4-0 (2-0 in the division)
NYJ 1-3 (1-0 in the division)
Buf 1-3 (0-2 in the division)
Mia 1-3 (0-1 in the division)

And the division race would effectively be over. After four weeks. With no Tom Brady and basically no Gronk.

Unbelievable.
It's starting to get to the point where Pats fans need to start rooting for the Jets/Phins/Bills so their draft position isn't too favorable.

But one monkey-wrench for the Jets: Decker is OUT this weekend.

Edit: had linked a Mehta tweet -- let me find one from a less objectionable source.

Yes, because those teams are such reliable draft decision-makers

I didn't know a game was even played until looking at this thread now. Damn it feels good to be over the NFL.
What's the best part? Is it all the extra time you have for activities on Sunday, or is it checking in to threads about football to tell people discussing it how disinterested you are?

The best part is not having to put up with a shitty product. Same reason I gave up on boxing long ago. I'll make sure I check in on that lonesome thread as well though!

where I was last at
If the NFL braintrust wants to get a handle on why ratings have declined this year, they might want to watch this game, but they might have better things to do..

Both teams should fire their coaches after this game not just the loser like most years.

Haha, a hit to the head of a defenseless receiver gets offset because the receiver got up and spun the ball on the ground. The NFL, always looking out for player safety above all else.

In the latest from the NFL's priorities are completely out of whack department. Jags vs Colts. Helmet to helmet hit flagged on Dqwell Jackson is offset by a taunting penalty by Jax WR Allen Robinson (he spun the ball near Jackson). Robinson gets warned that one more of those and he's ejected

They call Robinson for spinning the ball, but no call on Bortles for punting the ball into the stands? Ok, then.

I'm torn between rooting for the Jaguars (supposedly my son's favorite team) and hoping they lose so they can shitcan Bradley immediately and give Marrone a test drive for the rest of the season.

Jags manage points before the half with pumpkin headed Bortles manning the pocket. Pats would have taken a knee.

Suck for luck has turned into suck with luck. Grigson should be sharpening the resume.

This post is awesome.

And 100% spot on; there's a reason why the Patriots have won the division 14 times in the last 16 years and Belichick and Brady aside, it's called piss poor drafting by your division rivals.

I mean, there was never really any doubt that Jacksonville was going to blow this, right?

I like Cat Stevens but it's a little funny playing his music over a commercial with such an American theme.
