Hockey!

The game is on NESN. B's roster:

Defense: Brandon Carlo, JM Liles, Kevan Miller, Joe Morrow, Rob O'Gara, Jakub Zboril

Goalies: Anton Khudobin, Zane McIntyre

Lineup:

Heinen - Nash - Griffith
Cehlarik - Kuraly - Mueller
DeBrusk - Czarnik - Hayes
Hargrove - Cave - Randell

Liles - Carlo
Zboril - K. Miller
Morrow - O'Gara

I'm not sure how they're handling the goalies.

It'll be good to get a look at some of the young D. Also there's more of a competition up front with the Vatrano injury. Heinen, Mueller, Cehlarik, Griffith and DeBrusk could all be possibilities to replace Vatrano.

And a reminder for those who prefer ambient Garden noise to Jack and Brick....(at least with comcast, home games, and last few years.....)......switch the audio feed to spanish....announcers drop out, excellent hockey sounds get amplified....commercials muted. And crank up the volume.

First Kevan Miller panic in his own end, fire puck off the glass for an icing moment of the year comes almost 10 minutes in.

15 minutes in and they haven't scored? They need to fire Clode and get a coach who is better at generating offense.

1-1 in the 2nd. Milano scored for CBJ, but I don't think the puck actually went in. Hayes just scored for the Bruins. Excellent puck movement by Czarnik and DeBrusk led to a tap in.

Tonight's game will be streamed on bostonbruins.com, and you can hear the call on 98.5.

These will be the players there tonight, but not sure on lines:

FORWARDS: Noel Acciari, Matt Beleskey, Anton Blidh, Austin Czarnik, Brian Ferlin, Jesse Gabrielle, Justin Hickman, Sean Kuraly, Dominic Moore, Peter Mueller, Zach Senyshyn, Ryan Spooner.

DEFENSEMEN: Linus Arnesson, Chris Casto, Matt Grzelcyk, Jeremy Lauzon, Adam McQuaid, Colin Miller.

GOALIES: Malcolm Subban, Daniel Vladar.

We get another look at Kuraly and Czarnik, an I'm interested to see Lauzon and Grzelcyk. Also curious to see how well Colin Miller has advanced.

I'll be paying close attention to those guys, plus Senyshyn.

Mueller is playing as well. Lines:

Beleskey - Spooner - Mueller
Gabrielle - Moore - Ferlin
Blidh - Acciari - Hickman
Kuraly - Czarnik - Senyshyn

They haven't posted the D yet. I'd guess Subban plays 2 periods and Vladar the 3rd.

Looking forward to seeing Senyshyn and Lauzon. I'm also curious to see Blidh, he could be an under the radar candidate for the 4th line.

Did they pull the stream as well?

Nope

Stream works in Boston market, not everywhere in MA for some reason

On my iPad I can't find a link, but on my laptop I'm able to stream it in the Manchester, NH area.

Detroit helped by a McQuaid penalty so have had the better chances. They hit a post on the PP, and Subban made a great save on Larking on a one timer in close.

Bruins got a power play and really picked it up. Detroit's goalie really stood on his head there to keep it scoreless. Spooner looked good, as did Czarnik.

NHL network has a repeat of the game from 1 to 2:30 if you're looking for something to watching while the Ryder Cup is between matches.

Not to be lost in that is Backes had 3 assists and Pastrnak 2g 1a. Don't think the game was televised anywhere as I can't find any highlights other than sound clips from after the game.

Game tonight in Quebec City against the Habs. Lineup appears to be:

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Spooner - Krejci - Backes
Beleskey - Czarnik - Hayes
DeBrusk - Schaller - Acciari/Randell

Chara - C. Miller
Krug - K. Miller
Ehrhoff - McQuaid
O'Gara

Rask
Subban

I'm guessing a bit with the D pairs, but those seem logical. Krejci and Krug are getting their first action and appear to be on track to start the season.

No US TV though.

B's lose 4-3. Czarnik scored the 3rd Bruins goal. Habs had a couple of PP goals and the GWG came off a brutal Chara/McQuaid sequence.

I thought Ehrhoff looked good, but I don't know if it's due to him playing in the WC and being ahead of other players or if he's rejuvenated.

I was watching it on my phone, so it was tough to follow, but the Bergeron line looked kind of out of it. The Krejci line (Krejci-Spooner-Backes) looked very good, so that was encouraging. The defense was not encouraging, but that's not a surprise.

@ CBJ tonight. No local TV or radio.

Mostly a Providence lineup, but another look at Czarnik and Heinen.

DeBrusk - Nash - Griffith
Beleskey - Czarnik - Heinen
Kuraly - Moore - Acciari
Shithead/Hayes - Schaller - Randell

Krug - McQuaid
Liles - Carlo
Morrow - C. Miller
O'Gara

No mention of goalies, but I'm guessing its Khudobin and Subban.

I love that a "mostly Providence lineup" consists of 4 (5?) of the Bruins likely opening night defensemen.

And I use the term love loosely.
