Good game. Celtic had too much class at the end of the day, but Rangers had a good go. Barton's pre match trolling of Brown was as good as it got for the lad.

Due to traveling I was unable to see the game live, I jut managed to watch the recording.

It pretty much went the way I expected. Too fast, closed down Rangers when Rangers had the ball. Celtic could have found another gear, I've seen them play better this season. Dembele is still a diamond in the rough and will improve, Hartson was the last #10 who had that size and appetite for goal. Some EPL team will come in and offer big bucks in a year or so. Left foot, right foot...heading.it doesn't seem to matter to him. And I love the quickness. I don't think Sinclair gets the credit he deserves, he runs all day, opens up channels, quick as hell and of course scores goals. Kolo Toure...he strolls through these games and is a pleasure to watch..what a change from Ambrose. I hope he sticks around for another year. If you think Celtic is fast now..wait until you see Gamboa bombing down the right with Roberts in support. This Celtic team will destroy teams this season.

Rangers on the other hand don't have much to look forward to. I think Hearts or Aberdeen with be the main threat to Celtic and even then Celtic's lead will be in double digits by Boxing Day. If I was a Rangers fan I would be asking the the glib and shameless one when he is going to spend all that money in the war chest he promised. The answer of course is never. Rangers fans were once again hood winked by some money grabbing charlatan. They don't seem to catch a break. Although a mindless few decided to totally destroy the bathrooms at the visiting end. I hear that one Rangers fan's kid went to take a leak and when he came back he told his dad there were no toilets left. His dad didn't know what his son was talking about until he saw the carnage on the news. Warburton seems a likeable decent chap, he would do well to walk away before his reputation is tarnished, he will get no backing from the board and the fans will turn on him. Some things are just not worth it.

I see Barcelona lost at home today but most of the first team regulars did not start. Evidently they must be shitting themselves about facing Celtic on Tuesday ( I only wish that were true). Anyway, I'm looking forward to that game and have cleared the decks to watch it. But, I'm not looking forward to the result.

Well, we already have a goal of the season contender...about a 40 yarder. Unfortunately for Kilmarnock, it was the only sniff of goal they had all game and were thumped 6:1 by Celtic...but a heck of a goal. Trust me...well worth playing the video link.

http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/skills/244127/scottish-premiership-ex-tottenham-starlet-souleymane-coulibaly-scores-long-range-wonder-strike-for-kilmarnock-v-celtic-video.html

Celtic take on Man Citeh on Wednesday. Hopefully, Celtic won't stand around gawking like teenage schoolgirls at a One Direction concert as they did against Barca. Not holding my breath. I just hope they let Citeh know they have been in a game.

In other news..the natives are getting restless at Ibrox...am I the only one who thinks Mark Warburton looks like Russ Abbott? Probably.

No matter the result Celtic showed up this time. That's all I wanted. Can't help figure they will tire in the last 20 and City will pick off a couple of goals

Good result. Sings of real progress. And, you can see where Celtic struggle, when the big teams come at them, move the ball aboiut with pace and quality and movement. Thye never or hardly ever get to react to that week in week out domestically.

It reminds of of when Navratilove was commentating on a talented Juinor in her first Wimbldeon match in the main draw. She talked about what it's like to always get the ball a fraction of a second earlier, every shot, to always have less time to think, and that's the difference when you step up.

feels like that with Celtic. They can give the ball away in the SPL, the can fumble chances, they can be less than optimal often when they have the ball in attack, cos they don't get put under much pressure. And, they have a freedome to express themselves knowing that is the case.

But, this is a decent Celtic team. It really is. Of course with an extra 10M they could get a couple of more players to up the quality, but they don't have that money at the moment (or if they do, it's not considered worth the spend.) I didn't think it would be good for Celtic to come 3rd and get the Europa League, but now i see it differently. It would be great to get more European matches. This team needs to play against better oppostion to improve, to get used to having less time to think, to work with a smaller margin of error. We all know...it's really hard to make such a step up, from Hamilton, say to Barca...

And so i repeat myself once again. Scottish football needs a cash injection to become more competitive. Celtic can't progress if they keep recycling the squad every few years. Dembele will have turned heads already. Celtic will struggle to keep him, and so it goes.

Thirteen-year-old Karamoko Dembele just made an appearance for the Celtic U-20 team. I don't buy into the hype surrounding any kid that age proclaimed to be "The Next X" but he has some pretty ridiculous videos on the internet and is certainly one to watch. From what I can tell, his parents are from Ivory Coast but have lived in Scotland for some time, so he'd be eligible to play for either country if he progresses as a player.

The last can't miss Celtic prospect from an African nation was a kid called Islam Feruz. He moved to Scotland from Somalia when he was about 10. He was destined for great things and a star in the Celtic youth team. Unfortunately, his agent filled him with big ideas about heading to London and becoming a star down there and Chelsea signed him. At that point, it pretty much went drastically wrong for him, he was loaned out several times, even landed back in Scotland with Hibs, he walked out on at least one club. The last time I heard he had an arrest warrant out for him in Glasgow. I actually thought he would be a regular in the Celtic team by now.

Anyway, hopefully there are no similarities but it's still early days. There is one similarity I guess...Feruz was about 5.4. Hopefully, he can follow in his namesakes shoes and make an impression at senior level...the other Dembele seems to have made quite an impression.

Happy enough with the performance. Starting McGregor was a mistake imo and I am starting to worry about Rogic playing at a high level. I thought Brown/Armstrong were immense. I was hoping someone would break Neymar's leg by the end of the match.

Fox sports will be showing Celtic beating Sevco 3:0 tomorrow morning for those interested. Providing brother McLean does not send a Celtic player off nice and early.

I watched, but on a slight delay, so I was trying to stay off any social media so as not to spoil the result. Have to be happy with the outcome, but there were several decent scoring chances for either side that could have changed the landscape had they been converted. I think the goalposts were the MVP of the match.

And we all fall about laughing.

I wonder if Celtic will hang onto Dembele for next season. Celtic's six month turnover was up 94% - obviously due to Champion's League. They have money. And Scotland's getting more money fae the TV rights as well. Celtic are so far ahead of the competition at the moment.

The Gers might not get second place. I'd love to see Aberdeen take second, and it's nice to see Hearts getting healthy off the park.

All we need is independence...well i would say that.

Ma sides cannie take oany mair o this!

Whoever is the next manager of Rangers will be required to meet very high expectations, like delivering the league next season. They are broke...not a pot to piss in. They are asking for volunteers instead of ...you know...paid stewards. The reality is the next manager is expected to make honey from cat shit. It ain't happening . I keep meaning to post my interactions with a couple of Rangers fans in October when I was in Stornoway....they were not local , up there on business. Talk about unhinged...detached from reality. I have zero sympathy.

Hearts have fallen away big time...since they lost their manager. Brendan Rogers has Celtic playing the way I could only dream of...fast, flowing..pressing football. I'm just curious if Liverpool fans may be thinking firing Rogers MAY have been a mistake. Dunno.

FYI: Fox Sports 1 will be showing Celtic V Sevco live on Sunday. They also drew Sevco in the semis of the Scottish Cup to be played April 23. In the other semi, Aberdeen v Hibs.

Congrats to Celtic, great performance today, winning the title at Tyncastle 0-5 Scott Sinclair with a hat trick. Six in a row, Rangers miles off the pace.

I took my dad and brother on a wee walkabout round Ibrox around kick off time. Took them past the Louden on Copland Rd and showed em the social club across fae the louden where the men in white shirts, blazers and ties do their orange thang behind closed doors.

My dad was a bit intimidated I think by all the the sectarian scarfs and badges and flags on sale. As we walked by the John Greig statue passing fans, the conversation kinda dried up. That said, i think a good portion of the younger fans are more about the fitba than the other shite.

About the worst dive you will ever see in the Ross County v. Celtic match this morning and we end up 2-2. Regardless of who you support, the refs in Scotland are atrocious.

Well done Neil Lennon and Hibs on promotion.

Huns next Sunday in the Cup semi-final with Aberdeen and Hibs on Saturday.

For those interested.

Fox Sports 1 has live coverage of Sevco V Celtic tomorrow. For you east coasters it's 7 am...for me it's 4.00 am.

On a separate topic, I got rid of my subscription to Fox Soccer Plus about a month ago. The joys of HD streams with Kodi. Who knew...

Cool penalty by Sinclair. Gers fans come onto the park, camera doesnae show it. Then Broony lets Miller run into his elbow. Shaping up to be a fiesty encounter.

0-2 to Celtic, Griffiths witha belter than maybe the keepr should have saved. But to be fair it could and should be 0-4 or thereabouts. Rangers are giving it their all, but their all is not so good. I have a lot of time for Kenny Miller, he's a guid guy but if he's the best you've got, there's a problem.

Celtic could be 4 up easy. The Rangers back four have turned Roberts into Messi. Beerman in particular looks completely outclassed. Thus far, the gulf between the teams must be very distressing if you are a Rangers fan. If Celtic get a 3rd I can see their players losing the plot.

Gong completely off topic, I feel bad for Hearts, Robbie Neilson had them going in the right direction, then he quit. Jammos have never looked the same. We will be in Edinburgh on the weekend of August 25th, may try to get to a game depending on the SPL schedule.

I also noticed some Rangers fan doing the old monkey imitation when Sinclair scored the penalty. I've not seen than in quite a while. It's a shame that there are still Neanderthals out there. Some things you don't miss.

Considering Rangers have have a few non white players in the squad and on the park, it makes no sense at all. At least the KKK are consistent.
