that was the anti-Gleason. Saints player hit the Saints PR. Dirty Birds get the worm.

I kinda hate to say this, because I generally like Sean McDonough. But so far, I don't know if he's right for MNF. Somehow he manages to make MNF come across as some random crappy college game. A bit too subdued, perhaps.

Funny, I was just thinking that I liked him for basically the same reason -- he's competent and never gives you the impression that he thinks he's bigger than the game.

Brees is a joy to watch. Thankfully, Miami passed on him and has yet to recover from it.

Have no idea how they held the NYGs down last week -- Saints are defenseless.

Since Drew Brees entered the league, only the New England Patriots scored more points than the New Orleans Saints.

The Falcons had two sacks against the Saints...and tripled their season sack total from 1 to 3 in doing so. Their defense is not good. Luckily the Saints defense is horrendous, and/or Matty Ice has finally figured out Kyle Shanahan's offense. Having a competent offensive line definitely helps; Alex Mack was a big offseason signing. And the two-headed rushing hydra of Devonta Freeman (152 yards) and Tevin Coleman (3 TDs) is working beautifully.

(I figured someone ought to post something about the Falcons at some point - sorry.)
