No backsies! :)

That's Chapman's first real blown save of the year, his other one was against BAL in a game where he was trotting in, fully warmed up, and it started pouring so the game was delayed for hours. NY had no other real options, so Chapman still went out to close after that, and unsurprisingly blew it.

Also Chapman can go multiple innings in an emergency, but recently he's done it less than you'd think. He only got more than three outs four times in 2015, and just twice this year for NY. Maddon has asked him to do it twice already in a week, that will be interesting to watch going forward.

The game you are thinking about was against the Rangers at the Stadium. Giardi got criticized for asking for the tarp after Chapman walked the 1st hitter in the 9th. Yanks lost in extras.

Huge win by the Tigers over the Astros, Verlander took a 1-0 lead into the 9th but couldn't close it. HOU took a 2-1 lead, then Harris got the first two guys in the bottom of the inning. Then DET went walk/single/single, followed by an infield single by your buddy Iggy where he just barely outran Harris to first on what should have been a routine out, ballgame DET 3-2. They are on a roll, that puts them ahead of HOU pending their finale tomorrow.

Ichiro got 2 more AB but didn't get a hit. Now hitting 2-16 on this homestand.

Houston/Keuchel already down 6-0, about to get swept by Detroit.

They've hit a serious roadblock, and they need starting pitcher

Milwaukee sweeps Pittsburgh, not looking like the Pirates' year.

Need a new thread or a new thread title.

edit:
And I've really enjoyed Napoli this year, I should get a Party at Napoli's shirt myself.
