The man stood up for what he believed in. Even in the prime of his career, when it cost him dearly to do so. And he had one of the most devastating rights in the history of the sport. Not surprising, given we knew about his condition, but what a loss.

Really makes me want to watch all the docs/movies about his life. Just a completely fascinating human being in the truest sense of the term.

I actually did sit up last night watching old Ali fights - Liston, Foreman, even the end of the Bonavena fight. God he was good!

Punched like a heavyweight, moved like a featherweight. Such a pleasure to watch. I could watch the Cleveland Williams fight over and over again without ever ceasing to be amazed.

Yeah that was a great fight. Agree with Max that it definitely had a Corrales/Castillo vibe early on, but without any of the drama in the later rounds or that amazing finish. Still, very, very entertaining and I had it a draw as well.

Holy shit, man. Lomachenko just absolutely DESTROYED Román Martínez with one of the most beautiful uppercut-right hook combo I've ever seen. Wow.

Like I've been saying, the p4p guy right now. Boo boo looked great last night, and we got another good fight with Ruslan and JMJ.

Boo Boo, Molina, and Loma showed out last night. If I had to pick, I'd say boo boo looked the best.

As for Loma, look I enjoy watching him fight. He's incredibly talented...but I joined that fan base that puts HBO on mute. Last night was fucking brutal, a non stop 2 hour bj. He's great enough without the superlatives

HBO needs Roman to be the next Manny/Floyd to pay for The Ringer.

Canelo and Oscar finally came out of hiding to agree to fight GGG...in 2017. Seriously, f you Oscar.

And Klitschko and Fury got postponed. My guess is the fight never happens and Fury retires still the champ. It'd be the perfect troll way to go out.

At least Porter Thurman is finally happening tomorrow.

Bet 100 on a KT knockout. Doesn't count against my betting streak though, because it's just for kicks.

Really hard fight to score. I gave a very slight edge to Thurman but I can see why a lot people had Porter winning. Great fight for network TV though. This fight and the Guerrero fight will, hopefully, serve Thurman well down the line with the general sports public.

Ive always looked at Porter as a really good fighter who doesn't do one thing great but he does have a great attribute. He has world class grit/toughness. That's something Mexican fighters are praised for and he should be as well.

As for Thurman, I don't think he had a true plan B once Porter came back after some big shots. But he showed some grit and some good movement to edge it out. I did notice he has a bit of Pacquiao in him. He is very good at getting guys into these wild exchanges and firefights where he's more comfortable than they are.

Kell Brook has some set of balls on him. He's agreed to fight GGG in September. Yes, Kell Brook the welterweight

Update: holy fluck it sounds like it's at MIDDLEWEIGHT. Insane.

Not a great showing for Kovalev last night. I can't see him beating Ward looking like that. And I wish he'd stop doing that half turn thing then pawing with the right. It saps his power and leaves him wide open.

Man! Glad I wasn't the only one who saw it like this. He did not look good against a guy with maybe half of Ward's defensive skills/brain.

My concern with Ward has always been the size, I don't know if he can hit hard enough for Kovalev to respect him.

Yeah, I could see it actually being a very boring fight, maybe 30-40 punches a round. One or two solid Kovalev shots but no real danger.

Put $100 on Spanish Nipple to win tonight. No way he does, but any time you have those kinda odds in a heavyweight fight and the dog isn't a totally tomato, you gotta throw some money at it.

Hard to tell anything about wilder there. Hope he gets outta the habit of going straight back with his hands down against real competition though. Love watching him fight though.

Tough for Wilder to look good in that situation but his charisma and showmanship saved that fight.

Sucks he has a broken hand and torn muscle, hopefully he can back in the ring before the year is up

Is that confirmed? I don't know how you ever confirm a broken bone without an X-ray or it breaking the skin.

Yup. Just reported, he's out the rest of 2016 with a broken hand and a torn bicep.

Really sucks for him, Povetkin gets popped for roids and he loses out of 4.5 mill and in trying to salvage things he gets hurt in a stay busy fight

Damn. That jab is going to be even more savage when he returns.

I'd love to see him learn to hook off the jab like Klitschko used to. That'd be a devastating combo for him, followed up by that huge right hand.

Man, I think overall Benavidez did a lot more damage to Santana, but the way he did it, I had it either 96-94 Santana or 95-95. Benavidez only showed up to fight 3 rounds, he won all those easily and nearly every other fight was a coin flip.

Can't believe one of the judges had it 10 rounds to none. They should lose their license.

Crawford's really fn good but I have to take points off for him not closing the show. Postol was done from about the 5th round on. He couldn't handle any shots with full leverage on them

Oscar Valdez stole the show. Amazing performance
