I know we agreed to call it The Chrissy Fit Award, but can anyone else really win it? No one, no one is more consistent. The man brings the whine on every ball in his area code.
He'd be in a team of one - of course - but he'd be managed by Antonio Conte who certainly gets the coach's version.

It doesn't get more hatable for me than when Portugal brings on Quaresma to join Nani, Ronaldo, and Pepe. Only the Yankees and the Ravens field that many assholes at once.

The replay of Pepe smiling and demonstrating the proper way to elbow someone in the head was rather terrifying.

Don't smile, Pepe. (shivers)

The only thing left is for Ronaldo to miss a penalty worse than Messi did (which is a high bar).

Whoever is in charge of the replays clearly hates Ronaldo like the rest of us. Wonderful.

This is one of the worst games I've seen Ronaldo play in recent times. Wasted 3 golden opportunities and hasn't contributed much otherwise.

This is looking a lot like the Poland-Switzerland match. Poland was bright early but they don't seem to have a Plan B for later in the match other than playing for penalties.
I don't think Poland is very good, except for Lewandowski, who is one of the best players in the world. Frankly, this Poland team has me hopeful about USA Soccer; if Pulisic beats the long odds and becomes a world class player, the USMNT could become dangerous in a tournament. Lewandowski makes Poland viable and I don't think anyone else on Poland is better than "meh". I know Piszcek is good (Johnson?) and Blaczycowski (sp?) used to be good, but other than that - is there anyone really good, except Lewandowski?

That all said, C'mon Poland. Fuck Portugal and Pepe.

Thing is everyone on Poland does the basics well and has the close control and passing range to support Lewandowski.

But they've tired after a half hour in consecutive matches. Shootouts are not just but it seems hard to see Poland continuing deeper into the tournament playing like this. Of course, if they didn't have a few names it'd be a Cinderella story

Here comes the worst ending to any sporting event possible!

Which team has the edge in the dunk contest?

AHAHA, every single Portugal player should have gotten a yellow so far. Every one of these is a blatant violation of the new rule emphasis.

I would agree with that. Cedric also played well I thought. Moutinho doesn't get around like he used to but picked a few brilliant passes.

It's hard to no how much is pure decline vs loss of form from injuries this past year. He's still 29, but he broke into Sporting's first team at 17, so there's a lot of wear. He played like crap in the group stage. Maybe coming off the bench gives him a chance to compete.

Anybody have a link to a stream that does not require me to be a cable subscriber? Was planning on being at a bar, but home with the sick kid.
