He did. But I don't think my current second place standing will hold--only had 4 make the cut.

This week's SOSH hex goes to Colt Knost. 15/16 cuts made, T3 last week, top 10 last year at this event, and only $7800 - seemingly great value, but now destined to be slamming his trunk Friday night.

50% ownership on Knost.

Others:
DJ 3/8
Palmer 3/8
Piercy 3/8

Only one guy grabbed Spieth.

DK now offers European Tour games. There are certain weeks that may be a better field.

What do you mean by "a better field"? There may be more star power in Europe some weeks, but the depth of field will almost always be better in the US, at least until the FedEx Cup is done. (The Euro season finale in Dubai might be an exception worth looking at.)

Meanwhile, I trust this week's SoSH contest will be created shortly?

Exactly what you said--there may be some weeks (Dubai, etc.) where it's more fun to pick from the Euro grouping.

Either way is fine with me, just stating that DK offers it now.

I got off the schneid the same week Colt Knost broke the curse of the SoSH cherce. If only Koepka had held it together, I was looking good to take the top spot - I was "watching" via shot-tracker over the weekend, having just moved and waiting for my cable to get set up. At least now I have a few bucks to keep playing.

Breakdown for this week:
  • Picked 4 times: McGirt, Scott
  • Picked twice: Dufner, Haas, Jacobson, Kelly, Kisner, Kuchar, Lahiri, Palmer, Snedeker
  • Picked once: Campbell, Castro, Finau, Grillo, Hoffman, Z. Johnson, Kizzire, Knost, Danny Lee, Leishman, Molder, Na, O'Hair, Oosthuizen, Piercy, Poulter, Reed, Schwartzel, Senden, Toms, Vegas, Weekley

Not sure if it is a good sign that 4 of my guys were only picked by me, and the 2 other fall into the middle category.

Yeah, 5 of my guys were only picked by me, and the other is Adam Scott.

I've entered nine different lineups in nine different DraftKings competitions this week, and by far my lowest points total is in the SoSH competition. I'm actually doing OK over the past month-and-a-half or so at this - my wins in Double Up events are basically footing the bill for my SoSH entries - but I just can't figure out which entry is going to beat you guys. (I mean, I loved Bryce Molder this week and picked him in seven lineups, but of course he's not in my SoSH lineup.)

Weird...clicking on our fearless leader's lineup generates this message: "Opponent failed to draft team in time". But the contest goes ahead regardless - here's this week's breakdown:
  • Picked 5 times: Schwartzel
  • Picked 3 times: Johnson, Kuchar, Lovemark
  • Picked 2 times: Matsuyama, Cabrera-Bello
  • Picked once: Berger, Castro, Chappell, Day, DeChambeau, Finau, Fowler, Grillo, Haas, Hearn, Jacobson, Kaufman, Knox, Lingmerth, Loupe, McIlroy, Piercy, Reed, Reifers, Spieth, Steele, Swafford, Thomas, Woodland

By the by, here's a link (on my own writing website) to the magazine piece I wrote a few days ago about the DraftKings world to which you guys have introduced me:

http://dkilfara.jimdo.com/2016/05/31/daily-fantasy-spite/

Just in case you're interested.
Fun article to read, and pretty damn accurate. As a member of the 32 tournament 20 player draft league also running on here, I have come to appreciate so much more about the difficulties of making it on tour. I do pretty well in that league, but probably just luck. I find myself watching hole by hole play and knowing when a golfer like Castro is going to miss a 4-5' for birdie...just because thats what golfers like Castro do. One thing I have realized is just how big of a gap there is between the top 5 golfers and then the middle pack/grinders on tour. The middle pack or the grinders may find luck in a bottle and get a win or top 5 here or there, usually a low key tournament, but very few are able to keep consistency through 30 weeks of golf.

By the way your team is off to a hot start this morning!

Funny that Castro was mentioned above and it was basically his final round 66 (plus McIlroy's strong showing), far from the tv coverage, that won the week for me.

Sick week. I had over 500 points, which would have easily won every contest in the last month in our league, and finished a distant 3rd. Our league is getting tough.

I suspect this is largely because 26 golfers finished in double-digits under par, not because we're that much better - lower 72-hole scores means more points are being won by everyone.

EDIT: also, because it was a small field (120 golfers instead of 156) but the same Top 70 plus ties made the cut, fewer participants will have had golfers in their team win the cut, which again means more points for everyone.

Fair enough. I should have entered more contests. I know I probably would have placed in the double ups with 6/6 cuts made.

I just realized that it's Wednesday night and I hadn't seen anything and was just coming here to ask the same thing.

If I get the email at home tonight I'll sign up.

There's a bunch of players not listed for some reason.

Woodland, Knost, Palmer...

Hmmm...you're right. It lists a start date of 6/16.

Which is why Palmer isn't listed, he needs a good week at St. Jude to qualify for Open, which is why I wanted him this week.
