Alert the tut-tutters on Benefit Street in Providence!

Amendola's done a great job, happy he's on board.

If you told me before the 2014 season began that I'd come to be nervous about losing Amendola, I would not have believed it.

I love this news...

Awesome!!! Without knowing the exact details of the contract breakdown, this has to about cut his cap hits in half each year. Now, hopefully we'll see extensions for Hightower, Butler, and Collins come down the pipe.

Right. We'll all have the same feeling when Sandoval signs a three year extension just before opening day 2019.

Good news - starting to look a bit logjammed at receiver though (having too many starter quality players isn't really a problem though) - actually its a bit logjammed at 'guys who catch the ball' - curious to see what their plans are for formations/playing time/etc.

Awesome news! He is very valuable to us and if he stays healthy is 3a or 3b on the list of TB12's weapons. I did not want to see what the mishmash of Martin, Hogan, and a young Mitchell would look like in a late season game should Edelman get hurt again.

With Bennett in the fold, he may be option 4. And depending on how Lewis recovers, he could be option 5.

Still, a nice problem to have.

Meh, I'll withhold my opinion until I see how Garappolo feels about this.

Kidding aside, he's a proven veteran who not only knows the system but has performed very well in it at times. It's also always nice to hear that someone wants to stay (sure we don't know what his other options might have been, but still better than him saying all the wrong things). I'm pleased.

No worries, they'll just bring back Baltimore/Raven, so a 6th option on the field is viable (with Lewis being an option via lateral).

WR isn't that logjammed that they would have released Amendola and been fine. They needed him. The current depth chart is Edelman, Amendola, Hogan, and Mitchell and 1 more. Nate Washington, Aaron Dobson, and Keshawn Martin are competing for 1 roster spot. Devin Lucien is somebody I hope they can sneak through to the practice squad.

It says quite a bit about the organization and how players are targeted that, in this day and age, players take less to play for a team like the one we route for. It's not just about the team winning.

Who says player loyalty is dead?

It says a lot about the culture of the organization and it comes down from the head coach through the team leaders. That is Belichick's lasting legacy.

MYRTLE BEACH!!!!
This is great news. The guy isn't a 80 catch guy, but he's perfect in an offense heavily reliant on game plan based on the defense we'll see. Going small will be the design more than once this year.

Plus he's been money in the playoffs.

I hope these rookies coming in take a long read of that statement he released.

It's not quite on the same level as adding Moss, Welker, and Stallworth to ensure that Reche Caldwell can never again be your #1, but I'm glad they've done what it took this offseason to make sure that Chris Harper--or the like--will not be in a position to drop the season again.

I have high hopes for De'Runnya Wilson too. I would love to see Gronk, Bennett and the 6'5" 225 lb Wilson in the redzone.

Really happy to have the two headed monster of Edelmandola on the field next year.
