Alan Pardew's return to St. James's Park and a rematch of the crazy Everton/Bournemouth match for the first round of games, can Leicester clinch against Man U on Sunday?

That was an amazing free kick from Townsend to put Newcastle up 1-0 and help their quest for survival.

Defoe earns a ticky tack foul in the box and converts. Newcastle hanging on.

Allardyce and Rafa are just willing these teams to stay up. Both can't, but if they had played like this all year they would be comfortable.

Bayern received a late equalizer at home vs.Gladbach. Now they´re 5points ahead with two games remaining and still not champion. They probably had the t-shirts and beer prepared for a small non-drinking party with all the beer being showered around.
In positive news, nobody drinks even the smallest amount of alcohol ahead of the CL semifinal and Jerome Boateng played almost 70 solid minutes until he left with a 1-0 lead intact. Müller scored.

So now it's the turn of the Tyne and Wear citizens to support Arsenal for the day. After 90 minutes of being Gooners they may prefer relegation.

Cameron had a rough day. Gave up a penalty to cost Stoke 2 points and should have given up a second.

I would be murdering Rodgers for leaving Sturridge out Thursday, talking about the walking Tissue Paper's fitness management, then playing him today. Klopp somehow makes it okay.

If Liverpool give no fucks about today's clash with the Swans, why should I? Bring on the main course at 0900.

I'd love to see Arlo completely lose the script and become a Tommy Heinsohn/Jack Edwards mashup with a British accent. Arlo points, yelling at the ref... Full on homer mode. Nobody likes the Mancs, anyway.

Thought Ayew fouled Ojo there to get the ball back, but that's brutal play from Lucas and Skrtel to even be in that position

edit: definitely no foul by Ayew, get Skrtel off the pitch

I'm quite excited.

I also know this ends in a draw and LC get the title when Spurs drop points to Chelsea.

Fuchs was fooled before the cross and Drinkwater was in the middle. I don´t know if he should have covered Martial, but he was the closest. Simpson was nowhere to be seen.
Deserved lead for United, as they have lots of possession and are staying deep in Leicesters half.

Man, Fellaini is so good. I don't see him play nearly as much as I should, but he just dominates out there.

I genuinely can't tell if this is sarcasm.
Nah, just ignorance. I haven't watched as much of the Premier League the past couple years as I used to, so I'm not sure what's going on with him or Man U in general, but I just feel like he's been the best player on the field in the first half.

Am I the only one that thinks Kasper Schmeichel looks like he weighs 10pounds too much?
He's been great all season. Looks a bit thick for a young guy but doesn't show in his play.

Leicester's work rate is everything. They move for each other constantly. They don't possess the ball but it's just constant pass and move. So much confidence and everyone covers so well. Every pass has two passing options off it

Fucking Van Gaal. A draw was the worst result today. A loss gets incredible scenes and a win puts you in a good position to nip top 4.

Did you play in the Premier League? That answer is like one of the players answering.
"Where you affected by the atmosphere in the stadium?"
"We played a great game, our passing was a little bit off, we pressed them in their half and got a lot of good chances, especially from set pieces."

Yes, Schmeichel was good, he reacted great, especially on the save in the near corner on that close shot from Lindgaard (i think it was him) and on that last act when Huth slid into the deep pass and almost assisted on a great chance for Manchester. Nothing bad about Schmeichel. I just remembered he always looks a little bit beefy in his shirt and thought if he had 5kg/10pounds less, he might be more athletic and get to more balls. OTOH, he isn´t the tallest and might need the bulk to protect himself for high-ball challenges from guys like Fellaini, Carroll, etc.

Sadly I lacked the height, speed, and skills to make it so I came up just short. I'm a total menace in the co-Ed rec league though

Still a firm believer that Leicester is celebrating tomorrow. They can now do it with a Spurs draw.

ManU used to be a team I could grudgingly admire. Only De Gea and Smalling embody that now. Fellaini is what he is (and, for the record, his elbow was flying before the hair pull, not that Huth is excused). Memphis and Andre Herrera are among the most predictable divers in the league- it's hard to believe these antics continue to get rewarded. Rooney's shtick is what landed Vardy on the touchline today but will go unpunished.

I said it upthread- Schlupp is a disaster. Bad touches, bad decisions, blazing speed. Drinkwater's suspension is going to cause some change in the center of the park that is going to upset things. There are a few options, but consistency seems to be the key. Kante can play as a dedicated defensive midfielder, slot Mahrez more centrally and put Schlupp (UGH) or Albrighton on the wing. That Vardy guy can play up top.

Mystified to see Mahrez off instead of Ulloa, who was totally gassed. It was unlikely to make much of a difference but if they had any intention of countering (which they ultimately did through Albrighton) you'd want Mahrez stumbling forward instead of Ulloa crawling.

Losing Drinkwater for Everton is not insignificant. The point today is not really a huge deal. I guess it keeps you in the running to win the league with draw draw, or to win the league with loss loss if Spurs can't win all three. But both of those scenarios are a bit obscure. If I'm Leicester, Everton is everything. Yes, if they need to go into Stamford Bridge needing a draw or win, they can handle it, but in the end I think I'd rather have Drinkwater for Everton than the point today.

I thought United controlled midfield today in a way that's been hard for teams to do against Leicester this year. A combo of Rooney playing well where he is and no Vardy to release maybe? Not sure. Anyway, Leicester have had some trouble with big, target set piece players in the last few weeks in Carroll and Fellaini. And the downgrade from Vardy to Ulloa was far more noticeable today than against Swansea, that's for sure.

Even apart from being a Spurs fan, I really hope Spurs win tomorrow. There's something lamely anticlimactic about a team winning the title while sitting at home watching someone else lose on TV. I'd much rather see Leicester go out and win it at home against Everton next week, that would just be a lot more fun to watch.
