And, at time Pats made that decision to trade they knew Smith was off the board.

All good points. I just don't get how they can say the Patriots would have drafted him. The farther down the board Smith traveled the more teams would have gambled on him. Either way I dont think he makes it to 60.

I think the suggestion was "Pats were willing to take risk on him" as much as anything else. I don't think it was a firm prediction that if Dallas didn't take him, he would have slid to 60 for Pats

That's how I read it: RapSheet was told that the Pats would take him, if he was there ... not that the only other team that was interested was NE

For those of us pulling for Keenan Reynolds as a binky pick, I think that ship might have just sailed with no trade down for a fifth rounder. Doubt he's there for the Pats in the sixth

And wish he ran faster. We have a lot of average speed receivers on this team already and have rarely given Brady a deep threat

Here
I've seen that profile on him where he joined the women's book club. It's pretty funny and cool. I have no idea if he's a good wr, however.
He couldn't read until college, then learned and wrote a children's book, which he reads to urban kids in grade school.

In McKenzie We Trust.

Reggie must really like the roster, and Cook must have been very high on their board, since this is the first time Reggie has traded up in 4 drafts compared to the fact that he has traded down on the third day of his previous three drafts.

Current back up Matt McGloin is a free agent after this season after getting a 2nd round tender this offseason, so I guess the plan is that they will carry 3 QBs this year and then have Cook as the back up next year if all goes well.

Also, apparently Del Rio's son is very good friends with Cook and works out with him regularly, so the Raiders have some inside info on him.

I saw this kid's story on CBS Sunday Morning. Love this kid. Hope he makes the team and contributed. My favorite rookie already (until they pick Reynolds).

Believe it or not, he's actually one of the fastest WR's in this draft at 4.45. Only Fuller at 4.32 ran a sub 4.39. Mitchell is tied for 5th fastest among all WR's at 4.45. It's not a speed class, that's for sure.

I love how picks go from team to team at this stage. Cardinals pick on a choice from the Rams which earlier belonged to the Titans and Eagles

Why is he still around? Red flags??
2 down player, scheme inflexible. sort of like Ohio State Michael Bennett last year?

Of a non-public injury situation, like Jesse Williams from Alabama two years ago?

No one knows. Twitter is investigating.

13th in 3 cone for WRs. Considering where we are in the draft, that fits with the Pats typical profile.
