Ok, join both - as long as all 9 people don't join the other one (which I won't join) it will cancel that league and refund the money.

I'm done using the website to setup this league. For whatever reason, the app seems to work better in all regards.

bbb is in NY this week and can't sign up.

If anybody has friends that would be interested this week, please invite them.

We have until 11am to get someone to sign up.
I will give someone my login if they can change my team so I can lose $5 this week. I will just change my password after. Figure you lot are a trust worthy bunch.

I'm still showing an opening in the one league and it needs to be filled by 11 am EST.

If we can't resolve it for this week you can open it to public for that one slot.

I wonder what could have convinced 5/9 of us that Daniel Summerhays was some spectacular value? I also had Ryan Moore in my squad before making a swap, so he only ends up on 4/9 teams.

I hope they both miss the cut.

I have 3 guys that were picked by no one else, 1 picked by 1 other entrant, and 2 guys picked by 2 other entrants (including Spieth).

2nd place is coming down to the final hole...Spieth versus Jacobson.

Missed by 1.5 points. Damn! All in all, a successful weekend for my squad but finished just short. This is a really enjoyable pool. I really, really like how DK's scores the golf.

I'm completely flummoxed.

I do my research, pick out guys that are playing well, that have a history of playing well at the week's tournament and pass several other stats tests... and then 4 of them miss the cut. Basically I'm doing my homework and not getting results. To be fair, I did pick a dark horse no-name this week and he finished in the top 25, but my big horses keep failing me (Kevin Na, Dustin Johnson, et. al). I honestly just think it's bad luck, but wtf.

I'm not doing any research this week and see if I fare any better. Probably not.

The amount of luck in these contest is unnerving.

I really like my lineup this week, which means I'm almost certain to fare poorly.

Last week, the 2 golfers that were picked by a large number of us both missed the cut.

You almost have to nail your high-priced guy, have the 2 mid-priced guys play pretty well, then hope 2 of the cheap guys makes the cut.

Is there a good site for research on this stuff? I somehow did very well last year playing only the majors in the big $20 pool - I made money in each of the last 3. I had no methodology, rarely consulted stats, and somehow managed to luck into things like picking Danny Willett at The Open. So I am mildly disappointed in my guesswork this season, although I have really only had 1 very bad week and I have been playing with house money from my success in 2015. What I would like is to be able to go a website that will give me some more detailed information, to include both recent form and historical performance at that week's venue without needing to look at several individual leaderboards.

If you use the DK website, you can click on the players name which will bring up the player card and give you recent past performance, scoring stats and a bunch of other stats. I usually start there.

I look at recent form for the mid-tier and lower guys. The big names I usually don't mind if they were off their game the week before, because the top guys won't generally suck week to week, so it's just a feel for who I like in any given week.

It is a ton of luck. In the end, this league is going to come down to the guy who got the luckiest. My lineup last week was picked by literally throwing darts and then filling out the money with the last two picks. I was one birdie away from finishing in the money.

edit - this is not a complaint. This DK's league is absolutely awesome and a lot of fun to be a part of.

Same, but I never really liked my lineup this week. Apparently with good reason.

Here's why I liked my team: Rose and Kutcher are always solid picks. Bill Haas loves LA - he won this tourney in 2012 and always plays well here. Two guys (Jacobsen and Iwata) were coming off top 5 finishes. And Gore may not be high up on the leaderboard, but he was 8 for 8 in cuts made.

I mean, that's a winning team. Unless four guys decide to lay an egg simultaneously and not even sniff the cut.

Bastards.

I put another team in a $1 entry fee with just my SOSH team in and came in 70th out of 5500. Only paid me $7 bucks, but having all the guys make the cut and most of them with very low ownership percentage kills in these big fields.

Made 6x your money, not a bad return.

Every week I'm in 2 leagues. This one and another with 15 people (also $5 entry). I always pick my SoSH team first, then pick a different team in the other league. The last 3 weeks I've won $0 here, but have gone 1st, 2nd, 1st in the other league, making about $150 total.

I'm not changing a thing about that approach this week haha.

Ugh...Matsuyama withdraws, 2 others miss the cut, only one other higher than 31st.

Not a banner week. Let's go Horschel!!!

Somehow I managed to avoid picking Howell, have 5 of 6 make the cut and still suck.

Oh, and the "star" of my team this week was Rory. Who missed the cut. LOL.

I think that can happen rather easily.

Thoughts on bumping fee for the 4 majors? Maybe just to $7.50? That gives a 50% bump in the purse for those weeks.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to add extra players to the league if someone (like, uh, me) were interested in joining going forward? Too late for this week, obviously, but checking for the future.
PM me your DK handle and I'll add you to the invite list.

TFP is out next week, so we'll still have 9 players and I'll stick with top 2 get paid, but the following week when we have 10 players (adding CP), I'll bump it up to top 3 get paid. Anyone have objections?

Looks like Kuchar (33%), Stenson (33%) and Willett (44%) are the popular guys this week.

I'm the only guy with Rory this week (as he tries out a new putting technique) and only 2 of us have Mickelson. Spieth only on one team as well.

DK doesn't offer $7.50, the next entry fee is $10. If everyone is on board, I am too, but I would need 100% consensus on that
For the majors I'd be on board--10 folks, $100 purse.

Agreed on more expensive majors. Also would like to cap the total every week and invite a surplus. So get to a point where it's a 10 person league but we invite 12-15 people so that we don't run the risk of people not signing up and canceling the league. Thoughts?
