2024 Mock Drafts are more fun than this boring, awful Patriots Team

This is what I've been toying with doing these mock drafts. If the Patriots aren't enamored with the QBs and wanted to trade down, taking a Minnesota trade that gets them 11, 23 and whatever else, I trade right back up from 11 to Atlanta at 8. I figure if the McCarthy stuff is legit and he...

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

Why isn't that time now? The Bills had to shove a bunch of money into the future, and lop off a bunch of their veteran talent just to get under the cap. The Dolphins are already on the lower end of cap space projected next season, and that's without Tua or Waddle signed. The Jets have a 41 year...

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

The Vikings don't have a 2nd round pick this year, or next year. They traded them for #23. I continue to be stunned at how many people think the holy grail is something other than taking a high end QB prospect this year.

Dugger WITH AN E is back With the Pats (4 years 58M)

Why not both? I suspect we'll be hearing about a Barmore extension before too long.

You didn't think that playoff team with a rookie QB was fun to watch? I enjoyed that season.

Let's see what the restructure is first. If instead of taking a 15M salary this year he's taking a 2M salary and a 13M signing bonus, that's the anybody could be the coach effect.

It's not about the dollars. It's about giving up three picks, two of them prime ones, in addition to paying him top of the market dollars. I would suggest this is exactly the wrong time to do that.

    Patriots' 2024 Free Agency Thread

You might be, yeah. Even if Jimmy somehow stayed healthy after serving his suspension, he'd be at best the 10th best QB in the AFC? Probably lower depending upon your feeling about Deshaun and Russ. And on the downside of his career. They gotta swing big at QB. I'd consider this if I were a...

I agree. That's why I wouldn't sign any FA WR for significant money because they are all 2/3 types, or have injury/age concerns.

This is the guy I thought they'd end up with all along. Van Pelt was on that Cincinatti staff when Boyd was leading the team in targets. I don't love the fit here though. He needs to be a 2/3

    Non-Patriots Free Agency News 2024

Offset language is automatic. Schefter is just parroting what Parkers agent told him. Unless there's a trade where the Patriots are getting something to eat Parkers salary, they'd just cut him and get whatever salary Philly is paying him credited back on the cap next year.

That dog will hunt; Henry back to Patriots on 3/27M deal

I agree, they probably will. And I would frontload those extensions and restructures for the same reason.

Who starts Week 1 at QB for the Patriots?

It's whoever they take at #3

That dog will hunt; Henry back to Patriots on 3/27M deal

But as I said, they won't do that. They'll still spend it. If they don't get enough good players to spend it on this season, they won't bank it. They'll spend it on lesser players if they don't frontload they guys they got. You think the Krafts wouldn't hear Felger Nation screaming at them...
