Wow. That’s one way to fix Towns’ defense problem
I think thats the problem, not a ton of excess value there I suppose. That is not a ton of talent for Utah. But I don't think there was a huge market for Gobert on that deal.
lol, this is amazing. This clip of Windhorst with music spliced in is pretty fucking funny. That might have been the most overly dramatic buildup to nothing that I've ever heard!
"What's going on in Utah"
Holt shit.
Beat me to it. It was weird though.Windhorst accepting your apologies, haters.

The Timberwolves are sending Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt and multiple first-round picks for Gobert, sources tell ESPN.

Trader Danny, blowin' it up in Utah
There's no way KD could pick up a sword, let alone swing it multiple times in a battle. This tweet works for Gobert... the most disliked player in the NBA.

Haha, fair, fair.Windhorst accepting your apologies, haters.
Fascinating.I think thats the problem, not a ton of excess value there I suppose.
Interested to see how KAT and Gobert do together.
We'll see, but I'm skeptical. Neither Gobert nor KAT wants to be guarding guys out on the perimeter. Gobert is a great rim protector, but he's not a very versatile defender, and neither is Towns. I really don't think the two of them are workable defensively, but we'll see. That’s one way to fix Towns’ defense problem
Yeah, he and KAT are obviously going to play a lot together, along with Ant of course.Fascinating.
I really like KAT, seems like a good dude and IIRC has been ravaged by COVID in his family. I’d love to see it work. Ant is a star as well.
Gobert is such an odd great player in this day and age but you can’t deny his effect on D. But it does limit you lineup-wise to have him anchored to the paint.
The star player movement in this league is just incredible. The NBA rules.
That was working really well until Cousins got injured.Whoaaaaaaa. Hopefully he and KAT make it work better than AD and Cousins.
AD could cover on the perimeter. Not sure how Minny does it with KAT and Gobert.Whoaaaaaaa. Hopefully he and KAT make it work better than AD and Cousins.
Wow that is a ton of picks. Danny did it again.View: https://twitter.com/JonKrawczynski/status/1542958422278426624
What an absolutely awful trade for the Wolves. I honestly can’t believe that they made it
Well....I like that deal a whole lot more for Utah than when I assumed they were normally-protected picks. Wow....AROD is going for it!View: https://twitter.com/JonKrawczynski/status/1542958422278426624

Miami was trying for him.So, where does Mitchell land? This is a complete rebuild at this point, no?
That was my first thought as wellSo, where does Mitchell land? This is a complete rebuild at this point, no?
Yup. Same thought.Windhorst accepting your apologies, haters.
Any time you can trade your 1st round picks for nearly a decade for perhaps the 5th best center in the league (when you already have the 3rd best center in the league on your roster), you gotta do it.I truly don’t understand what Minnesota is thinking. They just gave up more than what Atlanta gave up for Murray….and Murray was a pretty perfect fit for their roster. So instead they give up a fucking haul for a guy that doesn’t fit their roster at all
Sure, but if they time-travel and have to play a series in 1990 they are going to be virtually unbeatable...Any time you can trade your 1st round picks for nearly a decade for perhaps the 5th best center in the league (when you already have the 3rd best center in the league on your roster), you gotta do it.
I thought Mitchell didn't like Gobert. He might not be really upset here. What's the countdown to the Mitchell trade request? I don't think Danny is going to deal him for Kyrie....
Not necessarily. Everyone expected Gobert to be moved this offseason. Not the destination I would have predicted, but trading him was unlikely to bring back a star given his skillset and contract. It was about resetting the team's salary structure. So, where does Mitchell land? This is a complete rebuild at this point, no?
I’ll be that guy…This is one of the most insane trades I've ever seen, even leaving aside the fit in MN.
Yes, and agree Mitchell wanted Gobert gone---it is more about overall timeline. The Ayton rumor makes sense as one path. Danny bears a lot of risk Mitchell asks out here, and accumulating picks won't hit the timeline. So I do tihnk a total rebuild is certainly on the table. And so is using those picks to try and get something else right nowI thought Mitchell didn't like Gobert. He might not be really upset here.
Complete blowup that was signaled by the O’Neal trade for a 1st yesterday. Up next…..Donovan. After that….Conley. When Ainge & Co put a plan together they don’t half ass it.WHAT'S GOING ON IN UTAH?
And when teams go small in the playoffs he’s unplayable.Any time you can trade your 1st round picks for nearly a decade for perhaps the 5th best center in the league (when you already have the 3rd best center in the league on your roster), you gotta do it.
