Roy Hodgson delivers instant results with a clean sheet. Sounds like Ranieri's pizza party incentive was never enough for the Watford players.
Is there some way that Watford can get relegated except for Roy?Roy Hodgson delivers instant results with a clean sheet. Sounds like Ranieri's pizza party incentive was never enough for the Watford players.
He played most of the game after it happened, so it was not a highlight in the broadcast once the blood was stopped and wasn’t even known that it was a break until after the game.Is there some way that Watford can get relegated except for Roy?
Why does Union Berlin turn in a stinker every time they play Augsburg?
USMNT news I caught from watching that disaster…Pepi did not even make the bench for Augsburg today due to a broken bone in his nose. Didn’t see that in the other thread, but doesn’t sound like a big deal either.
I was excited to watch the game yesterday - but was doing a replay since it started so late here. Thought it was on Paramount+, then went to ESPN+, which cheerfully showed me the score and 1:32 of highlights before I figured out it was on FS1. I didn’t bother watching the game at that point. So (and I know you’re not complaining) sorry if I was covering old ground. I hadn’t heard about the injury and was looking forward to seeing a glimpse of him today. Would have been better at least if he had scored against Union. He played most of the game after it happened, so it was not a highlight in the broadcast once the blood was stopped and wasn’t even known that it was a break until after the game.
Must have been truly awful to play with that injury in those conditions.

When your opponents have more touches in a part of your 18 yard box than you do...it can't be good.Oh my, Burnley.
And your only attacking zones come from corners? When your opponents have more touches in a part of your 18 yard box than you do...it can't be good.
two own goalsEverton v Newcastle was a great watch for first 10 minutes. Settled into a more boring period but both teams really up for it.
I havent had an opportunity to see much of Gordon this year but man is he an electric player. Just feels like something is about to happen whenever Wverton get the ball to his feet
Men in Blazers type of clipLadies and gentlemen...the one and only Joelinton.

Dean wasn’t even going to give a foul at first. I think the side official called it.How can this possibly not be a red card for denial of a goal scoring opportunity? There is no other defender even remotely close.
PL refereeing is just astoundingly bad.

Leeds also presents a fascinating case.Interesting graphic here that tells a basic story about tiers of clubs.
The true elite, most exemplified by City but to a slightly lesser extent Liverpool and Chelsea, can regularly access central spaces in front of the opponent's box and can counter-press effectively enough that their opponents struggle to access any spaces in the attacking half, including on the wings.
The wannabees (Arsenal, Spurs, United) can dominate in the middle of the field but tend to morph into the Horseshoe of Crap as they move into the attacking third, everything gets funneled wide and they struggle to access central spaces. Meanwhile, they don't counterpress effectively enough to prevent opponents from regularly accessing spaces on their own wings.
Midtable possession sides (Brighton, Leeds, Palace) are pretty similar to the wannabees, but can't quite dominate the middle of the field either.

So … if that’s a foul on McGuire … AND it’s a yellow card … why isn’t it a red? McGuire was the last defender.

Gray (Alli) and Mina (brathwaite) both came off with injuries in the first 30’.was DCL that dinged up that he couldn't make a 30 minute cameo?
