He also is a HUGE Jimmy G hater/hot taker. His head might explode in ecstasy if the Pats trade for him in the next few months.big jim was already in full on gloating mode last night on twitter

And he still wore his headphones on top of the helmet.Mazz is in Bucs gear with helmet.
I tuned in for a few minutes today.................they're ripping Belichick for Brady leaving here, killing him even more over Gronkowski, he retired because he did not want to play for Belichick anymore, took a year off and was very good last night, specifically his blocking.............saying players will no longer want to come here, it was never about playing for Belichick, it was all about playing with Brady.BB may catch some heat tomorrow from the hot-take duo. The opening should be a fun listen.
Its on to the newest hotter hot take. Also saying Belichick has to do better in 2021 than 7-9 or he will start to lose the fan base, not saying he's on a short leash.........but........................if they have another down year............................
The three of them are giddy over all of this..........................time to tune out.
This was so predictable... not sure why people would even bother. It's not even entertaining at this point.I tuned in for a few minutes today.................they're ripping Belichick for Brady leaving here, killing him even more over Gronkowski, he retired because he did not want to play for Belichick anymore, took a year off and was very good last night, specifically his blocking.............saying players will no longer want to come here, it was never about playing for Belichick, it was all about playing with Brady.

I'm with you, it's about 60/40 in favor of Brady................I love how they paint a picture now that coming here is a real slog for players, not a place they want to come. Its on to the newest hotter hot take. (they gotta eat too)
This year it was Tom v Bill and its been settled at least for this year. But a shadow has been cast on who was more responsible in NE--was it the Patriot Way or Tom's Way? (I'm 60-40Team Tom)
So the new iteration to tease and troll Pats fans seems will be, can Bill rebuild the Pats in a year or two and restablish the Pats as a play-off team for years to come? Can BB still recruit FAs to "joyless" Fort Foxboro, or has the Pat's mystique relocated to Tampa-St.Pete?
Understood; I was curious what they had to say...............so predictable is spot on.This was so predictable... not sure why people would even bother. It's not even entertaining at this point.
Indeed. I didn't bother tuning in, I knew what they would say without having to listen to a second of it.This was so predictable... not sure why people would even bother. It's not even entertaining at this point.
You mean in terms of the future? No doubt the Pats are in a tough spot.I listened today and consider them the highest of trolls, but most of what they said today is hard to argue with. Pats are in a very very difficult situation.
It has worked since day 1 of sports radio in BostonI wonder how long dumping on the accomplishments of local teams over the past two decades is going to generate good ratings. They seem very lazy.
You can’t overlook the fact that many New Englanders (which I have been my entire life) are by nature miserable pricks. People with that world view will always be drawn to this kind of entertainment, and there are no shortage of them.I wonder how long dumping on the accomplishments of local teams over the past two decades is going to generate good ratings. They seem very lazy.
Felger & Mazz get ridiculous ratings, have dominated Boston sports radio for years, and have all but killed off Glen Ordway and WEEI. They know what they’re doing. Trolling is a business model now.I wonder how long dumping on the accomplishments of local teams over the past two decades is going to generate good ratings. They seem very lazy.
Those teams are good now (maybe not the Jets), but they were so bad for so long that helped BB’s record immenselywhat makes it so tough is u div buff is good mia is good the jets couild be good the q is will mr kraft let bill pass shula if he has 4 8-8 9-7 type of years
Exactly.I don't know if the trolling business model will sustain when the city is not in an absurd run of dominance that all four major teams got in on.
Not old enough to remember Boston sports radio prior to that run of success? It was all misery, all the time. That's the model on which the industry was built. Sports radio didn't change, the teams did.I don't know if the trolling business model will sustain when the city is not in an absurd run of dominance that all four major teams got in on.
Spot on in all areas of your post. The Big Show was built on Red Sox bashing. Not old enough to remember Boston sports radio prior to that run of success? It was all misery, all the time. That's the model on which the industry was built. Sports radio didn't change, the teams did.
When the absurd run is over, hating on management and the players will continue. It will just change its appearance from "trolling" to "truth". And people will keep on tuning in and calling in.
Yep, and the Big Show is where Felger and Mazz both cut their teeth in radio. Their current show is just a refinement of the old modelSpot on in all areas of your post. The Big Show was built on Red Sox bashing.
"They're ruining my SUMMAAAAH!!"Spot on in all areas of your post. The Big Show was built on Red Sox bashing.
Pre 2004 on Saturdays the Mustard and Johnson show used to feature one Yankees caller after another, Mike from Canton and Frank from Gloucester among others, all they did was bash and ridicule the Red Sox.Spot on in all areas of your post. The Big Show was built on Red Sox bashing.
Forever?I wonder how long dumping on the accomplishments of local teams over the past two decades is going to generate good ratings. They seem very lazy.
Was Doug unconscious the past 10 years or so? "Hypotheticals in order to be outraged" was the original show name before settling on Felger & Mazz. The pandemic has been my clean break from Boston sports radio (during my 45-50 minute commute did half podcasts/half radio) and I don't regret it one bit!
I’m right there with you. I was aging and trending that way anyway, but a year of hardly ever being in my car during an average weekday has finished the job. I check in here out of morbid curiosity once and while, but haven’t tuned into these clowns or EEI in months. And it’s been confirmed that talk radio is utterly and completely unnecessary to my interest and enjoyment of Boston sports. I can’t imagine every really bothering with it again. Was Doug unconscious the past 10 years or so? "Hypotheticals in order to be outraged" was the original show name before settling on Felger & Mazz. That's 3 of us. After listening daily since the mid 90s, the orgasmic joy expressed on both stations over the Patriots' return to the middle of the pack caused me in mid autumn to just stop. Don't miss it and can't envision ever going back. I do podcasts, but that's it.I’m right there with you. SecondedHypotheticals in Order to be Outraged is a better name for this forum than OEAM.
That's up there with the "no regular callers" commandment. My how they’ve morphed from one of the original show commandments.
“Never get the team in trouble for something they haven’t done yet.”
Don't forget "We won't be doing the celebrity caller thing"My how they’ve morphed from one of the original show commandments.

I love how Danny from Quincy always starts his call calm, cool, collected and measured and you can hear his anger and angst slowly building as the call goes on until he gets to the end and he's ready to stroke out, exactly the sort of fella you'd want as the captain of a boat you're on.Don't forget "We won't be doing the celebrity caller thing"
Fast forward: "Hello Danny from Quincy" "You're up Dakota from Braintree"
