More an issue of being older than less deep per se (largely dependent on what happens now with the rest of the roster, if the Ws can swing a S/T, etc.) Looney's better than any non-Andre bench guy they had pre-KD; and while KD's departure obviously gives them no cap space, it makes the much more motivated to use all the exceptions they have (Loon's Bird rights, Boogie's non-Bird rights, MLE, etc.)
Coremiller's question about Portland is relevant, though. The non-KD Warriors just blasted the Blazers out of the playoffs in four straight, and now suddenly the mere presence of that same team is cause for them to throw in the towel? Lol.
Down but not out, at least till we see what happens with the rest of their roster (and what happens with Kawhi).
