Good test here. CBJ played last night but are fighting for their playoff lives. They haven’t been great since the all-in deadline and find themselves tied (comfortably ahead on tiebreakers) with the Habs for the 2nd WC. I imagine they’ll play with some desperation. Let’s not get run over in the 1st again.

Freddy back, Coyle getting a test run with Krejci, Kampfer freed.

Marchand - Bergeron - Heinen
Cehlarik - Krejci - Coyle
Nordstrom - Frederic - Backes
Kuraly - Acciari - Wagner

Chara - McAvoy
Krug - Carlo
Moore - Kampfer

Rask

Got to love it. Marchand plays so high on the pk and creates chances. And Bergeron does not miss.

Frederic's gotta get that deep, not just skate into Marchand. Sick move by Anderson coming back to be fair

Eh can't really blame Krug, he was coming on the change because they had possession at the circles in the o-zone, just can't turn it over that clean in that spot

I have to watch it again, but it seemed like he skated into Marchand's space more than anything
It seemed like he tried to knife through them, and would have but for Marchand blocking it with his skates. Not saying it’s a smart play, just that I think that was his read and he almost made a big play.

I'm not writing him off long-term, but Frederic is a terrible NHLer right now. No idea why he's up over Gemel Smith who's playing great in Providence and is a competent NHL player

I’ll live with most of the shorty’s they’ve given up this year because it is system based and the result of them giving the point men the freedom to move low and create chances. But that one was just mind numbingly stupid. Just dump that puck in and get the fuck out of the period.

right here
So we took care of 5 on 5, 5 on 4, and 4 on 5 that period for the Jackets. Who has odds on penalty shot, empty netter, or 5 on 3?
