I sure hope this wasn't the play with about 2 minutes to go in the 4th. Because that was not even close to a dirty play and in fact Wade wasn't even on top of him
You are right. I am irrational with regard to just one player in the NBA and that is Wade. I would like to exchange jerseys with him and dip mine in poison oak and porcupine quills before handing it over.

KD dominates an undermanned Spurs team on the floor (23 pts on 9-13 fg / 8 reb / 9 ast / 3 stl / 0 tov, +28 in 29 minutes), then — after a nine-day media blackout — proceeds to unload on Ethan Strauss and the media in the postgame presser.

Probably not gonna help his cause, but I feel his frustration about the amount of time Ethan and co. spend gossiping like schoolkids about unknowable offseason plans as opposed to, you know, basketball.

This was awesome too!! KD pretty much owned them and called out the local media for their childish games.

Philly starting 5 is beastly, but the bench is brutal. Evening shortening to an 8 man rotation, who off the bench do you actually want playing 18 minutes a night in the playoffs?

Sixers played 10 guys in first quarter. Brett has got some stuff to figure out. The 10th guy, Korkmaz, looked great.

I kind of like the Sixers’ bench upgrades. Guys like McConnell, Boban the Destroyer, Ennis, Scott, Simmons, Bolden, etc. can all play in this league. I think the harder part for them is figuring out who to go with.

All of them have their uses, but at the same time, do you look at any of them and say “that’s a top 7 guy on a finals team”? I’d be happy to have any on my bench, but none as my first guy off the bench...

I think that’s a fair question. And right now, they don’t have anyone to guard the smaller, quicker guards, which could be an issue with some combination of Kyrie, Lowry, and Bledsoe looming.

If only they could have pried Beverley from the Clips too...

But here is where the Nuggets fall short - they really don't have a closer. Murray could be that guy but he isn't there yet.

Doris Burke said Embiid was a doubtful participant tonight. Brett Brown did not say why. He looks gassed. Maybe a bug.

The West is weak if Denver is a 2 seed. The Nurkic trade is going to haunt Denver for years. Can't believe they have to play Plumlee in crunch time.
Would normally be Millsap. He’s missed the past couple games with an ankle injury.

And, wasn’t part of the reason they traded Nurkic because him and Jokic didn’t work on the court at the same time?

It’s been said a million times but this April/May is going to be so incredibly awesome with Milwaukee, Toronto, Philly, and Boston all having Finals caliber teams. And would have been 5 had Oladipo not gone down.

Assuming IND drops out of the top 4, 4 of the 15 playoff series look potentially awesome to me, the final four in the East and the Finals. I guess that some of the other West series might be fun too, but the gap between GS and the rest of the West just continues to widen.

The sixers can get so big, I think at one point the lineup had the smallest guy as Ennis at 6'7"

Tobias really makes a difference with the spacing and his switchability was really on show in the clutch.

The bench is still an issue, but there are NBA players at least

Yeah Nurkic is playing great got Portland but he’s slow. Plumlee is a better passer & more agile. I think him & Jokic work great together. Denver is a lot of fun to watch. Jokic my fav non Celtic he’s a joy.

Yes was impressed with defense. There were communication issues which were to be expected but it also looked like they can lock teams down. Simmons is going to have run around with a lot of water bugs.

fake edit: they should hire Boeheim and run his 2-3.
