Exactly. That’s a smokescreen. Get ready for lots of Gurley. He’s the one guy on the Rams offense who can (nearly) win the game single-handedly.
I don't think a running back can single-handedly win you a game in today's NFL unless your defense does some work. If Brady plays well, the game will be on Goff, no matter how great Gurley performs. The Pats had a tremendous running game going against the Chiefs and the only reason they came out on top in the end was Brady leading three straight TD drives to take back the lead because Mahomes played out of his mind in the second half. If the Rams defense (which is being vastly overrated, in my opinion) stifles the Pats, then sure, Gurley can take the game over.

Most days, I commute an hour each way to be chained to a desk so I can put food on the table for my family.

Some days, I get to watch the B’s, the C’s, and the Pats in the SuperBowl with pig out food and beer plentiful and within reach. This is a fucking good day, let me tell you.

Yeah, I think the Rams D is currently getting overrated because of the Saints game. But it's worth pointing out that the Saints ended the season on an offensive slump, averaging under 20 points in their last 7 games. Rams D is better with Talib, no doubt. And there are reasons to be concerned, but this is not the best defense in the NFL, or really even close.

What does that mean?
That Google wasn't curating the answers or deciding that Maine likes paella. It's that Maine searched for paella more than any other state more than Maine searching for any other food more than any other state.
I took ‘unique’ to mean not that Maine searched for paella more than other states, but rather that only Maine searches for paella, and no other state did. (Not sure what time frame they mean, or if someone in Maine searches for ‘super bowl paella’ or what).

Hey guys....there’s a pretty important football game on in a few hours. Wanted to make sure no one forgot.
It’s, like, only 53 hours away.

I dont know much about the Saints O-line, but it was a sieve against the Rams. I know hes a beast, but they were letting Donald get clean, untouched rushes to Brees. Gonna be really interesting to see how our line matches up.

People are looking at talent rather than actual production. The Rams defense has played better of late and to some degree made up for the fact that their high flying offense has been struggling since the Kupp injury, but they aren't the main reason LA is playing today. Of course, when you have a generational talent like Donald anything can happen, but it should worry Rams fans that people are talking about their defense this much prior to the game. Had they mantained their October/early November form, it'd be all about that offense and whether the Pats could keep up.

This can't be it, though, because like six states came up with "cake" (which is also WTF).

I'm in New Orleans, and nearly every bar is playing the saints Superbowl game tonight. Wearing Pats gear around town has gotten 80% or more Go Pat's from Saints fans. It's just surreal, this city is absolutely ripped, I've seen 25 refs walking not throwing flags others throwing flags everywhere.

I can not imagine what this place will be like if the Rams win. Alas the Bible has spoken and that won't occur.

Amazing that for me it’s gone from watching every second of pregame coverage the day of SB36 to none today. Nothing but SOSH. How do you back East folks handle all the wait?

My 11 yr old just asked me what the GFY on FitzyGFY meant because he was watching some Pats YouTube videos.

Didn’t see that one coming.
That’s about the worst thing on the Internet, so you have no worries with him going forward

Yeah it's crazy how things change... I probably watched every second of the 7 hours of pregame in February 2002, and now you couldn't pay me enough to watch those terrible interviews with the Rams backup safety or a feature on Spygate. Thankfully the Celtics are playing so I have something to watch.

And two of the longest days of my life were the Super Bowl Sundays last year and the year before, living in Europe and having to wait until after midnight for the game to start. Ah, to live on the west coast...

I conquered the giant ski hill in Bradford all morning. A real test of ones physical abilities. That killed a few hours. Now I’m going to crack a beer.

Judging from ticket sales & Atlanta crowd now, Patriots fans might have 80% of the stadium tomorrow. Said one insider: “There is a ‘Jordan final Bulls season‘ feel to this that has brought Patriots fans back out.”
This is wishful thinking.......by those who think this is it for Brady.

Dude, your 11 year old is probably watching MILF porn during recess. Good job by him with the convincing snow-job on Dad though.

I was walking down York Street in Mission/Potrero this morning, and found this:

Has to be a sign from the Gods, right?

You're damn right I picked it up and took it with me.
