I only started the thread Saturday because it was 20 minutes to game time, and nobody else had. I didn't want to get myself into any more stressful, long term commitments, but here I am.

Anyhow, the Bruins play the Coyotes today, in case anybody wanted to watch them.

I'm going to go off on a tangent.

FF6 was one of my favorite SNES games. For plot reasons, you find yourself in a haunted forest fighting a haunted train. The second weirdest thing about that fight is that because the train is flagged as "undead", and the FF series has a long-standing tradition of letting undead monsters be killed by using a revive-type item on them, you can kill the train with one item, no matter how strong you are. The weirdest thing about that fight is that because the developers forgot to flag the train as the right type of boss, an mma-brawler type character can literally suplex the train.

We're reached suplex-the-train levels of weridness this season. I have no idea what's about to happen, but I bet it'll be entertaining to someone.

Sweeney was in the house for Oilers / Flames a couple nights ago... RNH for Krug almost makes too much sense

I don’t think that makes sense for Edmonton. They are really, really thin at forward. I don’t think Chiarelli is in a position to do another forward for defense trade. They are already playing waiver claims and PTO players in their top 9. Losing RNH may hurt more than whatever they would gain by adding Krug to their back end.

True, it makes a ton of sense for the B's, probably less so for Edmonton. Could also see those two being the centerpieces and some of the B's forward depth (Heinen, Hughes/Senyshyn) being used to expand the deal to bring futures back to Boston as other trade chits. Who knows? Doubtful that Nurse/Klefbom would be available in any case

In awesome news, Chara and Bergeron are skating on their own

Does anyone actually like or watch Charlie Moore?
What gets me is I recall reading a Chad Finn article (I think my memory is right on who the article was from, maybe Boston Sports Media Watch?) that he actually *PAYS* NESN for them to air that show. Boggles my tiny brain.

I believe it, he probably bleeds Aubuchon Hardware dry to cover his costs.

At this point he looks like a 50 year old masshole with all the surgeries and clothes to masquerade as a 40 year old masshole, complete with an armada of cheap garbage to hock. Nice niche if you can carve it out I guess

Feels like they have to climb Everest to get to 2 goals.

Also these Michael Buffer ads are incredibly annoying

1st goal leaked past him, 2nd goal he didn't move to seal off the post.
The first goal was a PP backdoor one timer off the post. No goalie in the NHL makes that save.

The second was a deflection off his own defenseman. If you wanna say he could have been tighter to the post maybe you could, but he had the shot squared up so I’d say it’s nitpicking. It’s not soft though.
