Fixture congestion begins in earnest tonight / this afternoon, including the Brighton - Crystal Palace derby at the Amex in Brighton.

Not that I'm rooting for an injury, but if one is destined for a Brighton player, I'd like it to happen very soon since they're out of subs.

As great as Palace were on Saturday, they sucked to at least the same level today. I think this was the worst I've seen under Hodgson. This reminded me of the Frank de Boer era.

West Ham quietly putting together a strong run now that they've settled into the new system and gotten out of the brutal part of the schedule.
There was an expected drubbing from City, but otherwise despite a horrific injury situation (worst in the league probably) they put up:
Draw at Leicester
4-2 home over Burnley
Draw at Huddersfield
3-0 at Newcastle
3-1 home for Cardiff

And now going into a stretch of 6 straight against teams outside the top 9. Spending paying off, also Pellegrini is a terrific manager

Its 3-4-3 against 3-4-3 at Old Trafford.

This matchup can produce some very boring football if both sides play cautiously and hesitate to push the wingbacks and central midfielders into attack, as everybody on the pitch has a direct marker and each side ends up with three attackers, joined by the occasional foray from a wingback, working against seven players. I tend to think that will be the Mourinho strategy. I'm not sure what Emery will instruct his players to do.

7 changes for Liverpool, all 3 of the normal front line are out. Sturridge, Origi, and Shaqiri up top.

Moreno in at left back. Hold me.

Calling Matip "rusty" would be generous...

Why is Moreno rocking the Simple Jack haircut?

Gomez looks like he messed up his ankle.

It wouldn't be time for the busy holiday schedule if an important player wasn't getting hurt.

Arsenal in the lead. De Gea with a soft palm out from a soft header into the ground, defender can't clear it in time.

Hud on - bit of a scramble in the box and Martial sticks it in. Arsenal were in front for a couple of minutes. Not enough for me to think about Jose getting his jotters.

Also, it annoys me when commentators pronounce his name Firmin-yo. It's just Firmino. There's no H to make the Y should like in Coutinho.

Son puts Spurs up 3-0, likely locking up 3 points for Tottenham. Could be a nice bounce-back week for the squad if Chelsea and Arsenal both drop points.

This has been a very exciting second half across the spectrum, seems like every time I refresh the EPL Results page a bunch of goals have been scored.

Shaqiri ices it. Great result given the amount of rotation Liverpool had to employ (and the Gomez injury)

Wow, Chelsea falls to Wolves and Arsenal and ManU still level at 2.

Wow - Fellaini with a blatant pull on Guendouzi's hair in front of Marriner and no card

10/10 for creativity from Lacazette

Dyche looked mad at Klopp during the postgame handshake. Not sure what it was about, and both of them refused to comment on it afterwards.

Fellaini gave away a free kick, so that's all of his punishment.

The FA really, really sucks at this.
