It just occurred to me that both of these managers have won the world series as players.

Roberts and Cora too. Snitker never played in the majors, and Boone, Tito and Hinch played but did not win championships as players.
I hope Boone never wins another playoff game as a player, manager, executive or fan. Hell, I hope he never times any traffic lights perfectly for the rest of his life. He deserves to feel low stakes pain for the rest of his days.

If the Rockies get one-hit with their one hit as a triple, it'd be the first time in postseason history, and just the 42nd overall since 1908. Brewers have both pitched such a game (9/1/87, vs. KC) and lost such a game (8/12/77, Game 1, vs. Cleveland). It'd be the first time we'd have multiple such games in a calendar year since 1972, and only the fourth time overall (1909, 1951).

What a great damn game.

I like using Hader as the relief ace but you wonder if he'd be better as the lockdown 9th inning guy in the playoffs with Jeffress as the RA.

Nice play by Blackmon getting to 3rd too.

I know the Brewers squandered a couple opportunities, but this game really did feel over regardless.
