It's funny. I've had two conversations about Cooks in the past few days. First conversation my buddy says something like, "he was really good at drawing PI." The second was if there is a defender within 2 yards of him, he drops it. I didn't really buy these claims, but have seen both of these born out tonight.
See, I don't think Cooks was that good at drawing DPI. I think he could have done it way, way more. For example, that last pass that he just got the DPI on, the ball hit the defender in the back. If Cooks just stops and tries to, you know, catch the ball, the defender would have run right through him. Instead, he got lucky because the defender basically ran into him anyway, but it wasn't because of anything Cooks did.
On the 1st one, when he jumped to make the play and got the call, that was excellent. He didn't do a lot of that last year. He gets calls because of his speed and because when a ball is underthrown, guys run into him, but he could get a lot more of them if he fought harder when the ball is in the air.
