MiniMoret and I are looking out the window of the Downeaster on our way to the Seadogs, and it seems iffy. So excited to sit out in the RF pavilion for our first trip to Hadlock. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

I can only have 2-3 beers with the tyke in tow. Help me make them count. I promise ace scouting reports in return!

GCL Sox win 5-1 in a game ended in the top of the seventh due to rain.

Jose Gonzalez gave up an unearned run on four hits and a walk over four frames; whiffing a pair. Juan Morillo put out all three batters he faced in the fifth. Logan Browning struck out one in a perfect sixth inning before giving up a single to start the seventh... and then walked off the mound to earn a save as the rains washed the game away.

Juan Hernandez hit a single, drew a walk, was hit by a pitch, and stole a base in four jaunts. Jecorrah Arnold and Elih Marrero each managed a single and a base on balls in three excursions. Chad Hardy crushed a triple in three contests. Ricardo Cubillan contributed a single in four forays. Antoni Flores earned a free pass in three appearances. Caleb Ramsey, Keibert Petit, and Nicholas Northcut each suffered a trio of unsuccessful ups.

Miguel Suero surrendered an unearned run on four hits in six frames; whiffing a trio. Luis Colmenares gave up a single and struck out two in two innings before coming out for the ninth, whereupon he quickly ended the contest by giving up a triple and then a wild pitch.

Fabian Andrade flipped two singles and a sacrifice fly in four forays. Erick Flores and Ruben Hernandez each hit two singles in four excursions. Lewis Baez lined a double in three battles – his first in a month – before being replaced by Wilker Vargas who grounded out in the seventh. Leonel Jimenez and Denny Daza each drove a single in four jaunts. Gilberto Jimenez golfed a single and stole a base in five junkets. Brandon Rincones and Carlos Sanchez each suffered a quartet of subpar sessions.

This made me laugh more than it should've. Glad to see him doing well though. Even with the ups and downs, I hope he earns that promotion and see if he can continue to advance through the minors.
