I'd put Harrison above Vrabel, but understand the rationale. Branch certainly deserves it, ditto Moss, although I'd give preference to those with a ring. Randy is an exception because he is other worldly, and seems to really cherish the time he spent here - plus the record setting season. Big Sey was a monster here and should be in as well. Only admitting one per year is already an issue though. This isn't the real HOF, so the stringent guidelines are kind of weak, IMO. I'm all for a Celtics jersey retirement standard when it comes to this stuff. These guys were part of a two decade run that is unparalleled. Give them a fucking ceremony and a red coat, and fuck the "exclusivity" for something that should be a lot more about the fan connection and participation in something special.

I'm not sure where I stand on Branch and Moss. Both were critical pieces, but both were only with the Pats for about 4 years, and really only made an impact in 3 (Branch 2003-2005, Moss 2007-2009). Are 3 high impact years enough to earn a spot in the Patriots Hall of Fame? I don't think that is quite enough longevity.

Agree that Seymour has to be in though.

Branch was with the pats for 2010-2012 too and a pretty important piece the first 2 years.

That's a good point about 2010-2012. In total he played 89 games with the Pats (71 starts) with 328 catches on 541 attempts for 4,297 yards (13.1 YPC) and 24 TD

Rodney Harrison only played 63 regular season games with the Patriots -- that's less than four full seasons, and only eleven more than Randy Moss. I don't see how anyone could put him ahead of Light, Seymour, or even Vrabel.

By comparison, Matt Light played 153 games over eleven seasons. He has three Pro Bowl nods (Harrison had zero), three rings, and is the only one of the four to play his entire career as a Patriot. He's the obvious #1 choice to me.

I would put Seymour (111 games as a Patriot, five Pro Bowls, three rings) second, Vrabel (125 G, one Pro Bowl, three rings) third.

Light was here 4 more years and played in 1 more Super Bowl. Well he didn't really because he got hurt in XXXVI but still. 11 years vs. 7 is significant IMO.

He's not in because of that, he's in because he had a smoother exit. He was a much better and dominant player (5x All Pro (4 w. team) v. 1x).

Maybe but longevity matters IMO. Peak Seymour was the better player no argument here. Hell I had his jersey starting in 2003

I agree that longevity manners but I believe Seymour was here for 8 years, not 7 and also Light missed most of 2005. Seymour's least games played was 9. This isn't a Randy Moss situation, where he was here for a short period and had one of the highest peaks. Both Seymour and Light were here for a long time and Seymour was a much better player, and I loved Light.

Can't argue with any of these guys. I voted Light though, so happy with the outcome.
I think it’s pretty clear that the current process for induction does not work. Too many guys, too few slots, fan voting...needs tweaking
