Yeah, any given Sunday, but only @JAX and @PIT look legit scary on paper at this early point.Call me crazy but that's a pretty easy schedule. Assuming the team plays like they normally do seems like 13 or so wins.
I would put the Vikings in with those two at least on paper.Yeah, any given Sunday, but only @JAX and @PIT look legit scary on paper at this early point.
Plus the Week 4 and Week 5 games are like byes, too. So it'll be a very nice, extended break. The good teams are spread out through the schedule instead of having one brutal stretch like in previous years. There's a nice mini bye between Weeks 5 and 6 as well as the bye week in Week 11 so that is nice. They also don't leave Foxboro for pretty much the entire month of October.
The Jets are on the road and on FOX in Week 4 so I imagine Dolphins-Patriots will be the 1:00 CBS game shown that day as they have the doubleheader. Here’s my guess at the NYC viewing guide which will likely be rendered irrelevant anyways by flexing:The annual Patriots viewing guide in NYC
Week 4 Pats and Jets 1:00, Giants 4:25--bar day
The reason I said Pats wouldn't be on in NYC in Week 4 is because the Jets are on at 1:00. IIRC, if a NY team is on in any window that another game is not allowed to be shown in the viewing area unless for some reason both NY teams were on at the same time. The Jets are on the road and on FOX in Week 4 so I imagine Dolphins-Patriots will be the 1:00 CBS game shown that day as they have the doubleheader. There’s also no national doubleheader game Week 11 which I’ve never seen before.
Only if it’s a home game. The Jets are on the road that week. The reason I said Pats wouldn't be on in NYC in Week 4 is because the Jets are on at 1:00. Oh ok perfect. Thanks.Only if it’s a home game. The Jets are on the road that week.
This is an incredibly stupid thing for the NFL to do. Those two teams don't play against each other in the preseason anymore because the fans were so out of hand before games that it was dangerous. Now you not only have them play each other, but do so in the evening? Yikes.Raiders vs 49ers in primetime will be wild. Do the two fanbases still hate each other?

They play the Jets twice and don't have to play themselves. That's quite a head start.Interesting analysis by 538 on Strength of Schedule. LSS, they use pythag wins instead of actual wins to measure. Pats go from the 22nd hardest schedule to the 30th hardest (or 3rd easiest if you prefer).

I had no idea this was the actual rule because as far as I can remember it basically never comes up.Only if it’s a home game. The Jets are on the road that week.
I saw another analysis based on Vegas postseason odds and O/U, and based on that one, NE had the easiest schedule.Interesting analysis by 538 on Strength of Schedule. It's a lot harder if TB12 and Gronk don't show up, amirite?I saw another analysis based on Vegas postseason odds and O/U, and based on that one, NE had the easiest schedule.
