Henderson being out is much a bigger hit than I'd expected. Can is not showing up whatsoever for that back line in that #6 role

California. Duh.
The ref is letting United get away with a bit more than some others would.

Not missing clear fouls, but letting a bit of clutching and grabbing go, especially against Salah.

Valencia's arm looked to be dangling there - but I'd rather they keep playing than all stop and turn to the official

I'm more annoyed at how much grabbing Ashley Young is getting away with than I am about that ball off Valencia's arm.

Another shove by Young, proceeded immediately by a handball by Matic

edit: and no yellow for Sanchez blocking the quick free kick

Some of Liverpool's final third passing, from Ox and Mane hasn't been good enough. It's going to take timing and precision and it's been lacking. Full marks to Mourinho for setting his team out right and getting the players to carry out the game plan. Bit of a wake up call for Liverpool. It doesn't feel like they have a plan B, which they need right now. And it shows up some positional deficiences (centre Mid and Centre back) which most keen observers knew existed but recent results had somehwat papered over the cracks because Liverpool have been so convincing going forwards. But this is a good, stern test for Liverpool and they still have a bit of a cushion over Chelsea in fifth spot.

Pawson stops the quick throw-in by Alexander-Arnold due to him being too far upfield, TAA takes it again from the same spot

What is going on

Too many stray passes from Liverpool. Not sure if they can get behind them, not sure if they can play through them, and they're getting no joy at corners.

Liverpool got nothing from all those corners. I havent seen the stats, but i don't recall them having a shot on target in the second half. Mane gave the ball away far too much. Man U tactics were spot on. Snuffed out Liverpool's forward threat.

Lee Mason is really terrible at his job. Just waived off 2 clear handballs away from the body, one in the box.

West Ham gives up a goal after being the better team. Multiple pitch invaders. Quick second, then a third. Owners asked to leave by security. It's a true mess. Going down for sure.

All the games at the bottom of the table went pretty much the way I wanted. Fingers crossed Palace can continue being Chelsea’s bogey team. Wilf is back, but on the bench to start.
