Haha so true! I just like to tell people what's going on at they know what to expect. Btw the nap I just took was amazing.

I know he only plays 12 events per year at this point, but he not only makes the cut in all those events, he actually competes. He's got a game that ages perfectly. At this point in the draft, I'd rather have a guy that plays 12 events and competes than a guy that plays 24 events and barely makes the cut in half of them.

Pretty surprised he's still available and I think he's a great pick in this spot.

I was hoping stricker would go undrafted. Thought he would be a great add drop pick as he tends to play more after the first add drop

Looking at Steve Strickers past results - take a look at 2013 holy cow.

The guy played 10 official events before the playoffs. Making cuts in all 10 events and finishing no worse than T-38th.

He then proceeded to skip the first fedex cup playoff event. Came in 2nd at the Deutsche Bank, 4th at BMW, and 2nd at the Tour Championship. For a third place finish in fedex cup standings.

All in all 13 events, 13 made cuts, 11 top 25, and 8 top 10's.

Thought about taking him but with his already limited schedule paired with playing senior events now then add in the fact that he's not qualified for the majors anymore and I'm not sure when he will play this year.

Edit: Also changed equipment for the first time in like ever. But it's the 8th round so can't fault taking the flier.

He also doesn't have his card.

I'm dealing with two sick kids and the flu. I think I know who I'm taking, but want to double check. Will pick in the next hour or so.
Beef still has a medical exemption but only 2 more events to get his points as I recall. He was on my list for my last picks. If he gets his game back he could still add value as he is popular and can get sponsors exemptions pretty easily if he wants to play PGA events

The good news is that my 2nd round pick had a hell of a day today at Kapalua.

The bad news is that my 1st round pick...is struggling. Take the good with the bad.

Edit: Just saw my 8th round pick’s day...more good than bad!

I was going to take Stricker in the 6th round, but I couldn't figure out if he was going to play at all this year or not. Given that he's qualified and will light up the Senior Tour, I don't envision him playing many events on the Tour, but I think I've had him on my team like 4 times, and I love the guy.

Meanwhile, my first round pick Leishman, is leading after round 1 this week, which always bugs me. I swear if we kept stats on how guys did before our first event, I'd walk away with that Championship (I'm looking at you Bubba).

I’ve got 6 as well but for some reason my top 2 picks aren’t playing. Awesome!

Once @Lupe Whalewatch picks, I’ll close this thread and start up the general results thread.

Not unusual for top players to skip the Sony. I’ve got 5 and am missing my top pick as well.

FYI- just got a PM from Lupe. He wants to know if he can pick Lovelady twice.

So I've been keeping track of times in between draft picks.

Here are the 5 best drafters:
1. John MD 15 minutes in between picks!
2. Leon Trotsky 31 minutes
3. BMHH 32.5 minutes
4. Vegas Sox Fan 1 hour 5 minutes
5. HeavyD 1 hour 14 minutes.

Well done gentlemen!!

Now for the 5 worst:
5. Zomp 6 hours and 2 minutes :( sorry guys.
4. DOTB 6 hours and 54 minutes in between picks. Lawyers are busy! This would have probably been worse if he didn't auto get Rob in the last round.
3. Jkelley 7 hours
2. InJacobyWeTrust 8 hours and 54 minutes between picks.

and, by far, the worst drafter in the history of our league...as well as a stiff who doesn't pay, is...

DaveStapleton. Coming in at a terrible, horrific, 13 hours in between picks.
