Who cares? Many of us thought they should have kept Lovullo after he subbed in for Farrell when he was sick.
Anyone still pining for Lovullo didn't watch the D'backs in the playoffs. Or if they did, would be happy with someone who manages just like Farrell but has a better personality.

Scherzer probably punched his ticket to Cooperstown tonight as a 3-time Cy Young Award winner.

Scherzer probably punched his ticket to Cooperstown tonight as a 3-time Cy Young Award winner.
History supports that too, as every other 3+ time winner aside from Clemens is either active or in Cooperstown: Randy Johnson (x5), Carlton (x4), Maddux (x4), Koufax, Pedro, Jim Palmer, Seaver, Kershaw (active, but seems like all but assured at time of typing).

No surprise to me:

From ESPN: “In a bit of a surprise, Jose Altuve was the landslide winner over Aaron Judge in the AL MVP voting, collecting 27 of 30 first-place votes....”

Altuve was -1000 final betting odds, ESPN is going to be equally shocked when Lonzo doesn't win rookie of the year.

You thought he'd win in a landslide?

Unabashedly admitting that not only did the right person win, but I would have been miserable living here in NY if I had to deal with Lurch winning. Twitter is gold right now, I should be shocked, but I am not, how the Yankees fans were absolutely convinced Judge would and should win. You cannot disappear for almost 2 months in a season against a consistent player like Altuve and expect to beat him.

Anyone think Sale deserves it over Kluber?

I don't personally, just curious if anyone does
Sale left handed pitcher in a park known as murder to a lefty.
Klubers' Indians were 2nd in the Majors in OPS (.788). Sales' Red Sox were 22nd (.736). It's much easier to pitch when given a lead.
Their toughest division opponent: Kluber faced Twins ONCE. Sale faced Yankees five times, and Sale pitched in a much tougher division. Sale faced the Twins & Kluber faced the Yankees twice each
Kluber faced Tigers & White Sox, the two worst teams in the league 10 times. One THIRD of his starts.
Sale faced them ONCE each.
Recent effect bullshit. Which is this: If I give people a list of 10 items, then ask them to say them back to me, most of the items at the end of the list are going to be mentioned FAR more often than the ones at the beginning. They are fresher in the mind. Kluber WAS better down the stretch. Maybe because the Indians had long had the division wrapped up, and he also spent a month on the DL so he was MUCH fresher down the stretch. If the situation was reversed, and Sale was better late and struggled early, or if Kluber missed August instead of May, Sale would have been the runaway winner.

Sale pitched more high pressure games. Sox adjusted rotation to match Sale in big matchups late in the season. Yes he struggled. But he was also facing elite line-ups in high leverage situations.. Sox didn't wrap up division til second to last day of the season, Cleveland had it wrapped up long before. That also makes a difference.

I'm not saying Sale should have won. I'm saying it should have been MUCH closer, and the process is flawed at best. It shouldn't be determined by votes. No award should be. There should be a points process using the stats available and by the situations (IE: strength of opponent, pitching with a lead, opponents still fighting for playoffs, etc.) the player faces to determine a winner.
