I like when you use illustrations and diagrams much better than when you use photos from scopes. The illos and diagrams supplement your writing. With the photos I don’t know what I’m looking at.
I was wondering the same thing. Though you'd think that players playing NG through injuries that required surgery would be something that a manager, GM, and ownership would be talking about regularly, and get on the same page about.
The problem this year is that all the backups were injured or ineffective, too.

Interesting, and that's what I would have chosen too -- studies show that the long-term benefits are about the same between a microfracture and ACI (a fancy newer procedure where they grow someone's own cartilage in a lab, then implant it). Fingers crossed on the rehab.

I'm a hater after the slash line he posted this year. But even with team control, swiss army knife defense, and being a lefty I can't imagine we can't find a better option. That's not even considering the risk of him losing time from another concussion. It's possible the Holt era is coming to a close.
Holt is only looking at an estimated arby salary of $2m, finished the year on a decent note, and offers a unique level of flexibility that could come in handy down the line if/when we have to spend a latter chunk of the season carrying Hanley on our bench (since we can't release him without triggering the option, and our usual "phantom DL trip" work around might prove problematic there).
Or he bounces back from tough year which saw repeated bouts with vertigo. Hard to get untracked like that. I'm rooting for him.
I'm a little worried about planning on Hernandez being the answer early in the year (or even the primary utility man after that). The procedure he had essentially reconstructs the shoulder and puts bone in place to block the shoulder from dislocating again. It is highly successful in stabilizing the joint, but it does reduce external rotation range.
And you might add Wright to that list as well.
