Leo Komarov picks up the new visor penalty. He was literally the “don’t do that” guy the league showed everyone when explaining the rule.

When Chiarelli used the phrase "dimensional speed", I think this is what he was talking about. The kid is incredible.

If I'm Mike Sullivan I send someone to grab about five 30 racks of Molson Canadian, put them on the bus, and tell the boys you'll see them Saturday.

Oh, I think I like Brandon Saad a bit more now. His response of "You're welcome" with a smoochie face is pretty awesome.

Habs lose 2-0 at MSG tonight. They're having some goal scoring woes early on. 3 goals in 3 games, 2 of which were SHG.

Neal has runs like this where he scores like 10 goals in six games and then won't score again for 25 also.

And the schedule was set up for them to win some early games with one against the Stars and two against the awful Coyotes.

Habs swing through SJ and LA and get tuned up 5-2 and 5-1. Good times. 1-5-1 start, -17 goal differential.

They should really make a rule that forces him to use only 70% of his skill so he stops embarrassing everyone around him. Even Maroon was like, "WTF just happened, LOL". This kid is awesome.

Crosby vs McDavid in Pittsburgh tonight and the league/NBCSN opt to put Buffalo/Detroit on National TV.

The league really is run by dunces. I get that Buffalo and Detroit are good TV markets, but the league does such an awful job marketing their stars.

Vegas beat Chicago last night to move to 7-1-0.

It’s mostly smoke and mirrors (I don’t think the .930 save percentage is sustainable) but it’ll be fascinating to see what they do if they are still in playoff contention around the deadline. I think they’ll fall back to earth sooner rather than later, but the Pacific division sucks so I don’t think it is out of the realm of possibility that they hang in it for the long haul. They should probably take the long term approach and sell to continue accumulating assets, but they also are trying to establish and grow themselves in a new market.
