I'm rooting for Rickie or Justin Thomas myself. Westwood would be awesome too.

I want the first time winners to keep rolling.

Spieth posts a bogey free 65. Koepka just holed out for eagle on 17 to get to -5 himself. Brooks is -21 in his last 89 holes in majors.

Now that Sergio is off the list, I'd like to see Westwood pull one out.

Barring that, just give me a repeat of last year's final round donnybrook.
I find Westwood fun to root against and there is about a 0% chance he'll win a major. Too many yips, he will never be able to close it out.

Fleetwood is rattled. I'm hoping for Spieth to just dominate this thing, maybe with Rory in the mix, too.

Kuchar out in 29 and the weather is improving for the afternoon

Edit: Chamblee with the dynamite analysis: "the guys at the top of the leaderboard haven't been seen since the last time they played"

I assume he meant Spieth and Koepka both haven't been played since winning in their last outings (4 and 5 weeks ago), which is pretty interesting.

Rahm had a 2 stroke penalty assessed and then reversed after the round. That could be a big swing, and sounds like they made the right call.

Back-to-back rounds he's had that happen. He had a ball marking kerfuffle in the final round of the Irish Open where he appeared headed towards a 2-shot penalty but he was able to talk the R&A out of it.

Is there a reason why the Golf Channel can't show this tape delayed? I'd love to watch some tonight - I won't be around any time it's live to watch - and it seems really dumb to not air it.

Rory has it to -1, crushing it right now. He had 5 bogeys on the first 7 holes and has been nails since. The wind is whipping pretty good, but not egregiously. It's been fun to watch.

Now -2 for Rory after a birdie at 6. Looks like a par at 7. Announcers saying there is a lull in the squall, and the winds will toughen up later.

Treated to a nice Bubba meltdown this morning.

He was -4 and T4 and in the 4 holes since: bogey, bogey, bogey, double. He hit 1 bad shot, yelled out that he can't play golf, and has been a mess since.

Is the Golf Channel replaying yesterday's round right now?

Edit: Nevermind, the stream was set to the first round for whatever reason.

"Oh shit, sit down" - Koepka on the third after a terrible approach shot. I love when the mic picks up player reactions.
I'd love to have a mic on what I say in reaction to my shots - but for my consumption only. I can only imagine the shit I say that I don't realize.

Koepka is just astoundingly lucky so far today.

And on the other side of the luck coin, Jame Hahn somehow managed to find a tree and get stuck inside it

JT about to make an 8 or 9 on 6. Had the volume down but looked like 4 swings at a ball in the deep crap before giving up and taking an unplayable?

Yeah, a few swings without moving the ball, then took a swing and it went forward a few yards and got lost so he had to take a drop.
