It's as if the refs were looking for a call. As great a sport as hockey is, the NHL is minor league all the way.

Tough loss for a team that played with heart tonight.

The ref might as well have ripped off the stripes to reveal a Marner jersey underneath. Just awful and terribly frustrating.

They will have to pick themselves off the floor tomorrow.

the refs fucked them at the end but they didn't do enough offensively. Too much settling for point shots. Not enough plays to the net. If they don't get back to that tomorrow their fucked.

That call was horrendous, as was the refs performance all night.

But the 2nd and 3rd line sucked. Only reason this looked competitive was an awesome performance from the 4th line in addition to usual brilliance on the 1st.

Can't wait for BSF's excuses for Krejci disappearing though.

All the Bruins problems are Krejci's fault with you huh? All you do is complain about Krejci.

There's no defending him in this one he had a poor game, no doubt about it. I'm not sure why Beleskey is back on his line. I liked Stafford being up there and they looked good with him on that line. Not sure why the change was made. He has more offensive talent than stupid Beleskey. Hopefully they go back to that soon.

Edit: what about Pastrnak? He played pretty poorly in this one too. It wasn't just Krejci.

And there are the excuses. Right on cue.

If you'll notice I said 6 players sucked and predicted you'd make excuses for 1. Both were dead on true.

Overall, abhorrent performance by O'Halloran aside, it just blows losing to a team that moves to 33-38 and is within one point of a 38-34 team for a playoff spot.

I wish Krug would have done anything other than blast a one-timer on that 4-on-4 when he had the puck in the slot with nobody within 10 feet of him.

What the fuck are you talking about? Did you not read my reply? Might want to get checked for glasses there because you missed where I said no excuses, Krejci wasn't good tonight. Nowhere did I say he performed well, I merely pointed out that his line looked better with stafford on it, and not sure why that was changed.

My point is that after every loss all you do is whine about Krejci when to me he is nowhere near their biggest problem most of the time. Lack of talent on his line was a big issue until Pasta was put back on his line. Up until tonight, he had performed so much better since that change was made. He AND his whole line, including Pasta did not look good tonight.

Here, I'll say it again. Krejci had a bad night, players have off nights sometimes, if it drags on for a period of time you will not hear me defend him, as long as he has Pasta on his line.

Ok there Stripes, you said no excuses then you made 2 excuses saying Beleskey shouldn't be on his line and Pasta sucked too and we should make sure to notice he sucked.

I do this not to blame every loss on Krejci. I do this because he's the highest paid forward on the team and you're so fucking predictable that you make every excuse in the world when he sucks (no matter how much you're saying you aren't) and it's fun to point out how ridiculous that is. The fact that you think a $7M+ forward can't overcome playing with Pasta and Beleskey is ludicrous.

He's underperforming. He was awful tonight. Yet you still blame Beleskey. Never change.

Krejci has been under-performing for years, but that's an opinion.

Fact is you immediately made an excuse for his poor play:

That's an excuse- he played poorly b/c Belesky was with him.

TFP is just a little salty, as we all are, maybe no need for him to throw it your way, but you did put the ball on the tee for him.

How much did the LASIK run you? And is it worth it for an old man like myself?
Like $2k an eye. Can use your HCFSA toward it. Best money I've ever spent, I actually have completely forgotten I used to wear contacts for 15+ years.

The loser point is such a horseshit rule. Teams should be rewarded for winning, if they insist on the 2-1 points for overtime games, regulation wins need to be worth 3.

Krejci sucked tonight and his contract is looking pretty bad. I still think he could be useful on the right line but he's a bad fit on this team, with Backes and Spooner having similar weaknesses -- 3 centers who can make things happen in the offensive zone but don't drive possession.

Pasta had a bad game, whatever. He's 20 and has carried the team for parts of the season. Whoever said he's too dangle happy is right on. That's a lot more effective in moderation. He's fast enough to just attack with speed most of the time. Spooner has been doing that a lot more lately and it's made him more effective

Beleskey is fucking useless as a first or second line player. He's suited for 3rd or 4th line duty. He should not be on his line. Also as you see in my reply I said if he continues to have shitty games like tonight with Pasta on his line, he has no excuses.

Do you deny that Krejci had shitty linemates for much of the season before they finally put Pasta with him again? Krejci is a pass first forward, it's hard for someone like that to have a lot of success without being out there with somebody who can score. Like I said above once Pasta was put back on his line he has really performed much better. We also have to remember he had hip surgery in the offseason and people have said that something like that can take a while to fully come back from.

That said, Krejci is on pace for around 55 points which isn't much less than what he normally averages which is sonewhere in the lower 60's. He's still 3rd in points on the team behind both Pasta and Marchand who are both having fantastic years. He's ahead of Bergeron as well. That said, he has obviously not had as good of a year as any of those three.

Krejci is having a little bit of a down year for him though overall. I just think there are a couple of reasons for it that people fail to ever mention or even realize.

Also I will add that I won't deny he is probably overpaid. He's never really been a 7 million dollar a year player. I think expectations have gone up for him due to the contract but he is just not that type of player. That's not his fault though, we have to blame the front office for that one.

Yea, that's fair, I see where that does sound like an excuse. Like I said thought Krejci did play poorly. The Beleskey part is more of just what I would like/hope to see going forward.
